Paperbark trees en masse may not be a pretty sight to some, personally I find their rumply-crumply peeling barks quite fascinating and am always temped to pull a piece off, take it home and write a letter on it:) However in reflection, especially if the water is a bit brackish, they transform from ugly duckling to stunning swan. Took these shots at Lake Yellagonga last week. Looks like blue skies for Perth this weekend.. wherefore art thou winter :) Happy Saturday, take care and stay safe..
Interesting trees and amazing reflections! Almost like an abstract painting. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful are your reflections and how quaint that you'd like to write a letter with the paperbark's bark ! How ironic too, that we have many of the same flora as you have. Be safe and enjoy your day. Jo
ReplyDeleteBeautifully lit!

ReplyDeleteI think Toronto is a bit bigger than Perth but not by much.

ReplyDeleteThey do look good in their natural environment, as we can see in your photos. Thye not suitable as street trees.
ReplyDeleteThe water makes an abstract image of the reflections, lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe reflections remind me of impressionist paintings. I love it!
