At last! A thoroughly proper drenching rainy day! It's official.. I am a pluviophile! Anyone else? In the city yesterday I couldn't have hoped for more umbrella shots, so you know what's coming over the next few days, brollies, brollies and more brollies, I even spotted a gentleman with an umbrella covered in Eiffel Towers :) I know this is not what readers from the northern hemisphere want to see, quelle horreur, but I can assure you it won't last for too long, blue skies will resume shortly 😉 In the last shot the iCity Information volunteers were cosy and dry in their kiosk on Murray Street. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..
If only it rained between 10 PM and 6 in the morning!
ReplyDeleteA lot of rain indeed, apparently some suburb got quite a good drenching. I prefer a sunny winter day, although I know we need the rain too...
ReplyDeleteGood you took your camera with you, great shots and I like that what is it a bus stop?
ReplyDeletei prefer rainy days to sunny ones.... you are not alone! ew :)
ReplyDeleteI have a new umbrella I'm dying to try out, so it will probably never rain here again... Pluviophile. new word of the day.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, these photos make me smile! I would love to be in that same situation right now. We have officially entered the "monsoon season" here in the desert but, there has not been a cloud in the sky yet. These photos have me craving some rain!
ReplyDeleteIt is rainy on and off here today. I find it depressing!
ReplyDeleteWe are currently in a heatwave with temps here pushing 30C. Love those rainy pics, it looks very cool. I love that kiosk, it is so modern looking. Enjoy your day Grace.
ReplyDeleteI saw a young child the other day wearing a tee shirt that said, No Rain, No Flowers. It makes it simple for children who might not like rain, to realise it does good things.
ReplyDeleteLove your rainy day shots. Great header too.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos. We have had 2 hot dry weeks, now we have a weeks holiday booked for next week and storms are forecast. Grrrrrrr. Enjoy the great smell of fresh rain 😊 Diane
ReplyDeleteRainy days can give great light and reflections, as your photos show. Stay dry.
ReplyDeleteUnlike the song...rainy days and Mondays get me down...I enjoy rainy days. There is something special about being downtown in a city in the rain. Snow too. Nice rain photos Grace. Oh, I'm back in the North, and I enjoy all your imagery.
ReplyDeleteI love rain and rainy photos! I live in a very sunny place too, and while afternoon thunderstorms are common in the summer, a day of rain is almost unheard of.
ReplyDelete...it is raining here today too, hallelujah!
DeleteWe had showers the other night...with some very assertive thunder and a bit of lightning. Summertime drama.
ReplyDeleteI love to enjoy the rain during travel. It would be a nice experience:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainy pics :)
ReplyDeleteHere! :-) Since you asked, Grace, here´s another pluviophile! Love the sight, you made me smile big, thank you :-)
ReplyDeleteSooo dry here, sunny, blue skies - which I certainly love very much also!
"Quelle horreur"? Au contraire, madam. It's nice to see that even Perth gets a bit of rain from time to time!
ReplyDeleteFicaram muito boas estas fotografias depois da chuva.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de boa semana.
