Reflections of the cranes beavering away around Elizabeth Quay in one of the glass facades along the Esplanade. The buildings are leaping skywards at a frightening pace, the shot directly below taken two and half months ago at the beginning of March, the last shot a few days ago.. will have to record this view each time I go into the city to see the progress.. will reserve judgement until it's fini :) How is a person supposed to get a new winter header shot when the sky looks like this 🌞 Hope you have a wonderful weekend, take care and stay safe..
Time shall tell what becomes of it.
ReplyDeleteYou can always check your archives for a good shot for a seasonal header. I have to switch mine over for a summer header.
Awesome pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Wow, Grace, can you send some of the workers over here?
ReplyDeleteGermans are so darn slow, it´s a true pain!
Bell Tower will be out of sight, soon, I guess...
So enjoyable to see, G
ReplyDeleteLove those reflections, that blue sky, the "towers," all of it. Wonderful photography again showing off your wonderful city and its environs!
ReplyDeleteSuper reflections and lovely photo's.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan

I think the Quay has become much loved by locals. I really hope it doesn't get broken by these buildings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflection.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend

You don’t get the muted winter light as we do PDP.
ReplyDeleteYou could always visit the New England states, the Northwestern states, Alaska, Canada, or even Michigan during your summer and our winter for you winter header.
ReplyDeleteNice reflections Grace. I love the meandering cranes.
Love the top picture. Looks like someone spiked the drinking water.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing amount of progress in such a short span of time.
ReplyDeleteI love your reflections shot. The skyline of Seattle looks similar to yours, filled with construction cranes. But you won't find any palm trees.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflections Grace. I too have noticed the fast pace of constructions around Elizabeth quay!
ReplyDeleteThe trouble with those buildings is that they block out the beautiful blue sky.
ReplyDeletegreat shots and I do love reflections.
ReplyDeleteGoing up made me laugh as it reminded me of the South African song of Jeremy Taylor "Lift Girls Lament". Look it up on the internet and listen to it and you will see what I mean LOL. Take care Diane
The eco footprint of humanity is becoming bigger and bigger. Still a nice reflection.
ReplyDeleteNo matter where in the world you are, there's always construction going on. My small country town has now got it's first 6 storey building.
ReplyDeleteWow, is it silly but for me, it's all about that sky and clouds. Stunning day.
ReplyDeleteThis is an outstanding venue, with great and thoughtful staff, and a fantastic chef. The location of Chicago venues is well situated. We has been delighted to host our annual event at this location for the past few years, and the space has been perfect for our group of roughly 300.
