A little far from the Swan River a pod of thirty-six vibrantly colourful dolphins have dropped into the city to raise awareness of child and adolescent mental health. The Big Splash, a collaboration between Perth Children's Hospital Foundation and Wild in Art highlights three clear messages..
'You are not alone..
It's ok to talk about your feelings and concerns and
Real help is available'
The incroyable three dimensional artwork on the dolphin Connections here in Forrest Place is by Paul Drok and the Sea Star Signers. I followed the trail and found a few more dazzling dolphins, show you over the next few days. Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
They are certainly eye-catching Grace.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. My one wish in life has always been to swim with dolphins but I cannot see it ever happening now :-( Keep well Diane
ReplyDeleteOh they are just adorable Grace!
ReplyDeleteLove This!! Really, Love This.

Only in Perth! These are a delight! Love the colors, too!
ReplyDelete...these art programs sure are popular.
ReplyDeleteThese are fine looking dolphin. Love the idea of local artists being able to display their talents on a model of a locally important animal model. Chicago did cows, and Palm Beach did alligators.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly grab the attention, and in a good cause too.
ReplyDeleteThey are suitable for Perth, Grace!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The dolphin has the sweetest face!
ReplyDeleteYour part of the world has such beautiful art/colour, PDP.

I haven't seen a painted dolphin before, it is very nice done and for a good cause. I have seen that with elephants and our Miffy.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. It's not only for a good cause but, you get some incredible artwork on top of the good work. It reminds me of when I was working in Chicago and they did a similar project with cows!
ReplyDeleteI love Perth - even in the mizzle!
ReplyDeleteso bright and cheery...love it...i'm a big fan of dolphins, real or painted, doesn't matter ;)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the dolphins - and what a friendly creature to promote the youth mental health awareness.
ReplyDeleteI've seen pelicans and buffaloes painted but this dolphin looks incredible. What a beauty. Perth is a place for artists, that's for sure.
