A few last beach shots to warm the cockles of your Northern Hemisphere hearts before I head back into the city today. I haven't enhanced the colours in any way, that's exactly how they were. The turquoise water looking back to the beach from out on the mole below on City Beach is so beautifully clear. Below to the right you can see the sleek new City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club last seen here. This is also the same beach that I took my new summer header shot from on Sunday. I did hear a rumour that WA is going to have a cooler, wetter summer this year, I hope so but will believe it when it happens! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..
You are healing a lot of people with these pics, G!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing here at present.
What a wonderful beach scene, Grace. Everyone is enjoying themselves and the great weather. Fun in the sun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great beach day! The blues are exquisite!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the warmth! We sure are experiencing more cold than we desire, and blue is my favorite of all colors! Enjoy a wonderful 2018!
ReplyDeleteWe can definitely use something to warm us up!
ReplyDeleteLove your new header.
I can hear all the moaning from the northlands down here in Florida (of course, we're colder than a well-digger's well...you know.) Love the photos...and the colors are stunning. We get these colors in the Florida Panhandle and on the west coast...not so much on the east coast.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I've heard about the "cockles" of one's heart for years but never thought much about them. When I checked, it seems no one's really sure what the phrase means. It possibly came about because parts of the heart resemble the cockles of the sea, "any bivalve mollusk of the genus Cardium, having somewhat heart-shaped, radially ribbed valves..."
That may be more than you want to know but I thought I'd start off your new year with a little educational fun. But you probably knew all that! :)
It is nice to know and see that it is warm somewhere! Love that blue, Grace!
ReplyDeleteOh those glorious blues.... the sea, the sky, the beach umbrella in the first pic, the lifeguard station in the second pic, I want to be there on the beach RIGHT NOW! Meanwhile here in Canada... well, I won't bore you with the weather conditions here, just too awful to contemplate.
ReplyDelete...I sure am looking forward to beach time.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous blues! These views are sheer perfection. I'd love to be enjoying the beach right about now.
ReplyDeleteYou make us all wish we were there! :)
ReplyDeleteCom este frio sabe bem ver estas fotos.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e Excelente 2018.

Oh, I'm drinking in that sunshine and that blue. It's been such a grey day here.
ReplyDeleteWow, that all looks so warm and enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful Grace.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very nice beach, and it is very busy.
ReplyDeleteOh, my. Did you shoot this with the Olympus?
ReplyDeleteIt's soooo coooold heeere.
Oh...does that ever look beautiful! It truly does look too good to be real...{{sigh}}
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics.
ReplyDeleteAwww, so beautiful, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI was on the phone with a colleague and she pointed out, "beautiful rainbow!".
5 minutes later lighting and heavy rain, the first winterstorm 2018 is on the way (will likely hit South and Midlle though). Now thick clouds, so awww, such a sight here!
Beautiful. I've visited Fremantle quite a few times now but I'm always blown away by the colours of the ocean and the sky.
ReplyDeleteThe colours are beautiful. I was taken by the colour of the Indian Ocean when we visited WA. Great contrast to the photos from northern hemisphere blogs.
ReplyDeleteWeather is changing everywhere, we'll have to see if we really get a cooler summer. Great pics Grace.
ReplyDeleteAs you know, this is fantastic to see, even on a warm day with +5C up here in the north of Europe.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteOh that beachlife, that is far from our life here......
ReplyDeleteThe Beautiful Scenes !!!
ReplyDeleteI love them.
These beautiful photos leave me nothing but green with envy!!
