"Hello Colin, come in the water's lovely"..

This made me laugh out loud! Spotted in the window of Wendy Binks studio in Fremantle. The painting itself is brilliant, as is all of Wendy's work, but check out the tag attached, that's hilarious! The message pertaining to the hugely unpopular introduction of 'drum lines' along Perth beaches in January this year, you probably read or heard about it, it made the news big time. The decision made by our Premier, let's call him Colin :) was thankfully short lived as the State Environmental Authority strongly advised against it. Don't even get me started on Elizabeth Quay :) Hope you have a fab weekend, take care and stay safe...

  1. Thanks for the news article link- quite enlightening. A shame there's such a reaction in the first place to sharks. I don't think the premier would like this sentiment, but it is funny!

  14. Well spotted Grace, it's put me off ever swimming again! Love the reflection on the top half, it makes the bottom half as if it's under water.

  15. Neat painting. As far as sharks; people are always getting bitten by sharks here. Well, at least in some people's minds. I think maybe a dozen or so a year in the entire state. There are worse things happening on the roads all the time.

  23. Super cool, I guess I prefer with the blue color, but B&W is beautiful too.
Hope everything is fine there and you are enjoying the Weekend. Here I'm still feeling terrible due the jetlag. Oh girl, I miss the Florida Sunshine!
