Gordon Street Garage has become a bit of a favourite with us for that special occasion breakfast. Once an auto- electric garage now converted into a really cool space in West Perth. The industrial feel, high ceilings, seasonal food all make for a divertingly, delicious experience. Check the breakfast menu out here.. is it just me that finds a man in the kitchen cooking me a scrumpsh breakfast tres sexy :)
Aimee's birthday breakfast.. jamon, kipfler hash, blistered cherry tomatoes and poached egg.. a healthy choice, just when you think you know someone they go and surprise you, was so sure she would go for the 'pancakes, salted caramel, banana, hazel nuts and cream'.. and no, I didn't either :)
As we were so close, after breakfast we had a walk through Kings Park Botanical Gardens where they were setting up for 'Moonlight Cinema''..must go before the season ends! Was pleased to see the giant Boab was sprouting a healthy covering of foliage, looked a little sad the last time I saw it. Can't believe it's almost the end of the week again, have a good Thursday, take care and stay safe..
That is quite a massive tree!
ReplyDeleteThere's an eatery here like that, which took over a former auto shop.
That looks like my kind of place, Grace! I'd probably order the same or the bbq salmon.
ReplyDeleteFirst image is very gorgeous! Arianna

I was just admiring that marble countertop.
ReplyDeleteWow, just try and hug that tree! I really like going behind the scenes, what a fun visit that was.
ReplyDeleteIt must be just you as I don't a man cooking in a kitchen sexy at all. :) Now, certain women cooking in the kitchen - that's a different matter. Nevertheless, I would love to give this place try...but I'd probably order scrambled eggs, toast and bacon no matter what else was on the menu. Talk about being in a rut!
ReplyDeleteOur poor local baobab sends regards to it's fellow and to A! Happy birthday, girl.

Wow! What a giant tree!
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures :)
I do love saffron so that saffron yogurt sounds very interesting but, I think I'd have to order the polenta with avocado and basil. That menu sounds heavenly. And, yes, there is something sexy about a man in the kitchen. That looks like a great kitchen to work in too.
ReplyDeleteOh I think I'd have made my doctor happy with banana bread and chocolate mascarpone! This looks sooooooo delicious!
ReplyDeleteVery inviting-looking place. The fixtures remind me of the Power Plant in Pennsylvania. It is a nice eatery in an old electric power plant. I was expecting garage though--like you were going to show some really neat old automobiles.... Nice photos Grace.
ReplyDeleteLove the George Street Garage, next time I visit my daughter I will take her there for breakfast, she may have already found it! :-)
ReplyDeleteUltra trendy cafe, with prices to match I guess. But so nice for a special occasion.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place.
