On a walk around the marina a while back I spied this ruggedly handsome gent 'of a certain age' preparing to do a bit of snorkeling in the shallow water beach side of the boardwalk at Hillarys Boat Harbour. You often see fish leaping out above the water here so I can only imagine what's going on below :)
We arrived at the boardwalk at the same time, he below, looking up smiling.. 'what took you so long?' I've only experienced snorkeling a few times.. guess what! Too many strange looking things lurking under there haha! Sorry I haven't been around the last couple of days, a touch of sun-stroke on Wednesday ..result, un gros mal de tête, you'd think I would know better right! Hope you've been having a good week, take care and stay safe..
I remember sun-stroke. Not much fun at all. Have experienced it in Greece a couple of times when it was 48C in the shade. Snorkelling must be a good way to cool down!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had sun stroke, so I can't imagine it. I hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind a swim in those waters.
Any sharks....?
ReplyDeleteSorry you suffer from 'sunstroke!'
I do so hope you are feeling better!! Take care!! It is easy to get carried away on beautiful days!! Love your pics for the day, as always!!
ReplyDeleteSunstroke . . . sheesh! And here we are in the dead of winter. :-)
ReplyDeleteSnorkeling I rather enjoy especially in some places where there's a lot of coral here in Florida. Scuba diving I leave to others.
ReplyDeleteSkin cancer is an epidemic in Florida because people don't use sunscreen and they stay out in the sun too long. So, cover thy head! And other uncovered areas. :) I'm kidding, but sunburn is no laughing matter and it hurts!
I hope you're feeling better now.
ReplyDeleteI know what you're talking about :)
Just not at this time of year ;)
I never snorkelled, I'm afraid of
inhaling water. I rather dive with
goggles :))

I've snorkeled in Mexico and loved it! Kept an eye open for any biters though! ;-))
ReplyDeleteSun stroke, oh, yes, Grace, when I was a young 14 and it knocked me out! Hope you´re better!
ReplyDeleteWe did some easy snorkeling at Coral Bay near Exmouth - beautiful, the corals are so close to the beach - give it a go sometime!
Hard to tell what was making them jump, sometimes it is something big.
ReplyDeleteRuggedly handsome is not really how I would describe him. Old might be more appropriate. Yes, I know it is the pot calling the kettle vermillion. Now watch out for our killer sun.
ReplyDeleteYou are always alive to what life is showing you. Thus your blog teams with life and lively interest for us. Of course. we're fond of you too! [ and so glad you feel Bon again]

=^..^=
That's another one of those things I don't do! Oh well, I have plenty of other things I can do that I'm completely comfortable with.
ReplyDeleteI hear it is fun, but I would not try snorkeling either. I hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteSlip, slop, slap (aussie talk for covering up!). Take care.
ReplyDeleteI am not a big water person but he looks like he enjoys it.
ReplyDeleteOh, this reminds me of the time we took a mini-dive over the Great Barrier Reef off Cairns. Unforgettable.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to read of another big migraine. Take care of yourself, Grace.
ReplyDeleteThe North Sea is somehow less enticing than the blue waters off your coasts - frostbite more likely than sunstroke. Hope you're feeling better now.
ReplyDeleteFeeling that he enjoy has been expressed to smile.
ReplyDeleteSight for sore eyes? Any bikinis?
ReplyDeleteNice little reportage, he looks very relaxed and happy.
ReplyDeleteI hope your gros mal de tête is gone.
Hope your're feeling better Grace. I tried snorkeling once, but as I can't control my breathing under water, I was hopeless!
ReplyDeleteI've had sun stroke and it sucks! Hope you are back to normal soon.
ReplyDeleteThe gentleman in your photos looks like he knows exactly what he is doing...
