Calm waters.....!!

I took this on Tuesday morning when I stopped  to snap Eliza, it was a really unusual morning, the sky was very 'active' cloud wise, but the Swan River was like glass, not a single break on the surface of the water when I took this photo, but on the way back ten minutes later the wind had blown up and it was quite choppy! Weather conditions never cease to amaze me the way they can change dramatically within minutes. This view is from Riverside Drive looking across to The Royal Perth Yacht Club and is my contribution to Sky watch Friday. Have a happy and safe weekend.....! Just heard, storms easing in Perth today, thank goodness.....!!

  1. I really like this, don't usually think of converting this kind of shot to b&w but it works.

  6. That's dramatic. Just my point of view, but I would have liked a little more sky and a lower horizon.

And you're absolutely right about the weather. There is a saying here that if you don't like the weather in St. Louis, wait around a few minutes.
