Late autumn in Perth.. 'there's something about trees'!

There is isn't there! You can be frazzled as all heck but the minute you're surrounded by the leafy wonder of trees all is calm again. As you know I'm searching for the perfect tree for the back garden, taking time to choose because of multiple mistakes in the past :)  There are several mature tree nurseries around Perth and yesterday we went to Ellenby Tree Farm in Gnangara, only 25 mins from home it feels like you're way out in the country..

... and there it was (below).. the perfect tree! Not sure if you can see it all that clearly here and bottom shot, it has the pink tag and perfect spread :) It's a Tipuana tree and the pink tag means that I was too late, it's been sold.. which after reading the info might have been a good thing, apparently it can grow to 30mt high.. but I love it and would have bought it in a Perth minute if it had been available :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.. p.s. Aimee's descent down the QV1 building today, eek!

  1. Beautiful colours in the leaves- the tree nursery certainly comes across as nice and orderly.

    Good luck to Aimee!

  2. Looks like a great getaway checking out the tree farm. Darn that little pink tag! Does this mean the search is still on for the perfect tree?

  3. Je ne crois pas que ça existe, un arbre parfait, c'est comme un être humain parfait. Mais on peut toujours chercher et ça nous vaut de belles photos.
    Merci
    Amitiés.

  4. I would love this place. Trees are very special. We don't have many in our yard now, but we did at our previous house here in Ocala. There are so many options at this tree farm, I would think you'd be able to find one that would work for you!

  6. Looks like there are lots of trees to choose from but of course you have to have the right place for the right tree. Good luck in your search and good luck to Aimee. Maybe you could practice climbing on one of those trees :)

  12. That looks the perfect spot to find just the right tree. I still can't get used to things just now warming up here and almost the opposite is happening there.

  24. Enjoy the season change.
(Today Oslo is warmer than Barcelona, and it is not bad here in Stavanger, either for a change. Wind but SUNNY.)

  26. Gee, sorry that you missed it, Gracie. But the way I look at things is that, what happens is what was supposed to happen. You weren't supposed to have that tree. When you find the right one, you will know, and THAT is what is supposed to happen.
