Perth city office workers are pretty spoiled for choice if they fancy spending their lunch break outdoors. Central Park in the heart of the city on the corner of Hay and William St. is fabulous in summer and at this time of the year before the last of the autumn leaves fall as winter approaches..
... and across the way in the Hay St. Mall under the shade of the plane trees buskers entertain lunch time shoppers. If I'm more than usually obsessed :) with trees right now it's because I must make a decision soon.. this being the perfect time to plant while there's still some warmth in the soil and forthcoming winter rains. The problem is that there are too many gorgeous trees to choose from..help! Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe... p.s. maybe a Chinese tallow tree.. or a crepe myrtle or..... :)
The fall colours are lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous is the word. Wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed you find the right one, Grace!
ReplyDeleteYou bring Autumn to me too fast, actually! ;-)

ReplyDeletepretty fall colors grace! i too need to plant a few trees...in our new house we don't have 1 tree in the front yard and in the back there are mostly pines, down below...there is one fruit tree but i don't know what kind it is yet! on my list to plant are for sure: crepe myrtle, dogwood, redbud...possibly a magnolia and cherry tree too! but....not all at once!

Looks like the perfect place to be.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is still nice and warm?
Choices, choices, so difficult to deal with...
ReplyDeleteI would make sure that they are not messy...dropping stuff all year long...and not one that will wrap around you plumbing. I have a spot in front and am trying to make the same decision.
ReplyDeleteI love this--I get to see fall colors in May!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to spend a lunch break! As always, your photos are fantastic Grace.

ReplyDeleteI love trees, but these days I mainly remove excess trees.
