Maybe not so much a smell as a perfume. Ever since two French sisters walked into my class in high school, a subtle hint of L'Air du Temps wafting in the air as they passed, I've been hooked, j'adore! The first perfume created by Nina Ricci after the war in 1948, the bottle designed by Lalique, has been described as feminine yet modern, vintage yet elegant, I don't know about all that, I just know that without a tiny touch before facing the day ahead I feel a little déshabillé :) Very much looking forward to seeing how you have interpreted the theme.. happy Monday, take care and stay safe...
This is an excellent take on the theme. The only problem is some people don't have enough sense to limit the scents they splash on themselves!
ReplyDeleteActually, my problem is with the theme. It stinks! (Just kidding!)

As a rule, I don't wear perfume, Grace. :-) I've got allergies, anyway, so almost any scent sends me sneezing. A-Ah-Ah-chooooo!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully photographed Grace! And, perfect for the theme.
ReplyDeleteI assumed perfumes would factor into some takes on this theme! Good one, Grace.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a perfume guy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful still life pics, Grace. I especially like the top one. I too like 'L'Air duTemps'. I rarely go anywhere without my mascara and some perfume.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, great minds think alike!
ReplyDeleteI wore it for years too, Grace! But so many people have allergies now that I tend to avoid perfumes.
ReplyDeletePretty how you've dressed up the bottle.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to remember the fragrances of a former life. Today I'd rather smell cardamon than perfume. :)
Stunning presentations of these perfumes. The first one particularly is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteGreat scent, photo, and memory!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, the second one is very dramatic...
ReplyDeleteVery, very fine, Grace. I am not surprised that you would have good taste in fragrances.
ReplyDeletePerfect photos for this theme!
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is outstanding, perfectly romantic and misty. I think my mother used to wear L'Air du Temps.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous- do you think the day will come when we can smell peoples blogs?
ReplyDeleteMy lass, before she ran off with a rich man, used 'Opium' & 'Poison,' both eminently suitable...
ReplyDeleteI start sneezing if people go overboard on the perfume too...
ReplyDeleteLove the perfume bottles, they are all very sensual and beautiful.
Very classy photographs Grace and aptly so.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried this one, I like the Lalique bottle very much. I am in Tresor from Lancome for a long time now, after Issy from Issy Miyake. I feel the same as you, I have to have a dip every day to get ready for the day:)
ReplyDeleteKnowing your favorite perfume gives me a clearer image of you, Grace, even though we've never met. I know what you look like, now I know your scent.
ReplyDeleteThere was a time a woman chose her perfume early on and never changed. Today, most women have scent wardrobes. I have two, for the most part--one I fell in love with in college (when I heard Estee Lauder was going to stop making it, I bought every bottle I could find; thankfully, it was recently resurrected) and one light, inexpensive citrus scent I love in hot weather.
Smells can bring back the fondest memories, so sad I can´t recall the perfume my Mum was wearing, Grace.
ReplyDeleteArty shots!
A nice scent no doubt.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are wonderful, Grace. Like your taste in perfume :).
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! I can no longer stand perfume though; it makes me ill.
ReplyDeleteAha, perfume !
ReplyDeleteHow lovely Grace. Excellent post for this month's theme!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteI really don't like perfume when it excessive. However, there isn't much better than just the right amount, that makes you want to get another whiff...
