Did I mentioned that Aimee will be insanely bravely abseiling down one of Perth's tallest buildings early on Thursday morning this week.. all in the name of charity! The Abseil for PMH, now in it's thirteenth year is a major fundraiser for Princess Margaret Hospital for Children (PMH). Today the participants had a practice run at Statham's Quarry albeit only a, yikes, 20/30mt climb.. on the day it will be a 160mt climb down the QV.1 building, double yikes! The doctors and nurses at PMH looked after my great niece so well last year that Aimee was happy to help.. if you would like to see how Aimee's fundraising is going and perhaps make a donation :) check her link here.. Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe.. p.s. I haven't forgotten the 1st of May CDP theme.. smelly post coming up tomorrow :)
Wonderful of Aimee to do this! Are you going to be taking photos on Thursday too?
ReplyDeleteVery brave of Aimee and a great effort with her fundraising.
ReplyDeleteWhile I extend my best wishes to Aimee, I can't help but ask: WHY are you doing this? Don't you know high places are scary!!!!!
ReplyDelete(P.S. I got up on a step stool today to change a light bulb but had to step down. Just too high! :))
Abseilen is a German word, Grace :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd nothing I would ever do in my life, good job Aimee is doing, thumbs up big!
Funny to find those German words here and there in other languages.
I'm not so brave :) Arianna
ReplyDeleteInsane!
ReplyDeleteThat daughter of yours is something special, and why not. . .takes after her Mother!!
ReplyDeleteNeither you nor I would be doing that, Grace! ;-) Wow - she's a good and brave woman.
ReplyDeletei'd like to do this!!! ew
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you're related? :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to believe she is your daughter, with your dislike of heights.
ReplyDeleteOh My!
ReplyDeletedoesn't that look like fun!
ReplyDeleteAmazing young lady! Sorry to hear about your knee, what now?
ReplyDeleteShe is one very brave young lady! I'm totally impressed!
ReplyDeleteGood on her, but no thank you. Although I would love to try abseiling per se, the height thing would get to me.
ReplyDeleteWow...well done all round, supporting hospital is a really good cause, let's hope it raises lots of money...
ReplyDeleteOMG I wouldn't dare that in a million years. Can you look at her abseiling?
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is amazing! Good luck to her with her fundraiser challenge.
ReplyDeleteYou go, Aimee--but be safe while you're doing it!
ReplyDeleteShe seems confident as she is smiling when going into action. cool spirit.
ReplyDeleteAimee, you are brave!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely so proud of my niece, Aimee. We're with you all the way, Sweetie - although, not... uhh actually with you - way too high for me! Love you and good luck! xxxx
ReplyDeleteSchön würde ich auch mal probieren.
ReplyDeleteGruß
Noke
Bravo, Aimee! Very cool. I have a friend who did something similar. Great idea for a fundraiser.
ReplyDeleteAimee has guts. There is no way I could have done this even in my younger days.
ReplyDeleteVery brave, Aimee. There is a similar event in Hartford that I have photographed, but there is no way on earth I would volunteer to back off a skyscraper. Years ago I took an Outward Bound course and had to rappel off a cliff in Colorado. I did it, but my heart was in my throat.
ReplyDeleteYup, that is crazy but awesome and for a great cause. When is it your turn? Good luck to Aimee!
ReplyDeleteWow. I'm a bit impressed now.
ReplyDeleteHuh… I wouldn't do this.
ReplyDeleteBut your photos are fantastic.
