Whether you like the 'tree' sculpture seen here in reflection or not, when standing in the centre on ground level it's the perfect foil for a bit of abstract fun! I thought about presenting them in b & w but the red brick of the Town Hall peeking through above and the blue sky over the David Malcolm Justice Centre next door (could you possibly get two more diverse neighbours) were not to be ignored! These were not the skies yesterday, the skies over Perth yesterday were wild.. we're talking power-outs, branches off trees wild, perfect day to rest up the knee :) Wonder what today will bring! Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe. P.s. what do you think..whale tail below?
The curvature catches my eye. Quite a contrast to the older building.
ReplyDeleteThis will probably be a nice series of photos.
ReplyDeleteFantastic sculpture! I love everything about it. That first shot is mesmerizing and yes, it certainly looks like a whale tail in the 2nd shot!
ReplyDeleteThat is really some amazing architecture!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteThese dizzy, upward perspectives are fascinating. The grroved effect in the first photo creates a sense of power and strength in the sculpture.
ReplyDeleteYou have some great architecture & art and also great events happening in your city!

Very cool shot, Grace, awesome! Very artistic - guess the first one ends up on our wall as well.
ReplyDeleteI should invite you to see your gallery here, huh? Just give me a day in advance to clean up the place ;-)
Very arty photo's today, you must have layed down flat on your back I suppose? :)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes...definitely a whale's tail!

ReplyDeleteLove your fun, abstract take on the sculpture -- especially with the inclusion of the brick justice centre. I wonder how the location of that sculpture was approved…? You're right…they're so different! And, yet…you made it work so well! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive Grace. I love your perspective!
ReplyDeleteWow, great piece of art, and your photos rendering it well. Bravo!

ReplyDeleteYou are such an awesome photographer...a true photographic artist. I just love your work. I am so far behind in my visiting your blog, so I am trying to get caught up today. My back is giving me a fit so am in bed with lots of time on my hands. Sorry about the delay. I have been working on my artwork on my Buttons blog and posting some shots to my Climbing one. This having two blogs can be confusing.
ReplyDeleteBoth photos are stunning and I'm glad you kept the colour. Your reasons make perfect sense.
