On the way home from an orthopedic appointment on Monday afternoon we traveled back through the suburb of Floreat. You can see why this is a preferred route. Underwood Avenue is planted with Plane trees as far as the eye can see and at this time of the year they look particularly pretty. Took these shots around 3pm.. you can see that the Perth weather, although a wee bit chilly early morning and evening, has been a delightful autumn high this week of 24C, parfait! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
Beautiful light in these shots, Grace.
ReplyDeleteSuperb!
ReplyDeleteGrace, you captured beautiful light shining through those trees. I am not familiar with the plane tree, but they look great in your photos.
ReplyDelete...and our Plane Trees are barely leafed out.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Plane Trees but they look great in the light you captured them in.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous light shots! I love fall color....wherever it is. Beautiful place. Enjoy your cooler temps.
ReplyDeleteThose trees are putting on a show with their multi-colored leaves of the season. Any route around town that is lined with beautiful trees is the place to be!
ReplyDeleteWe had the same idea today, trees and grassfields, love the planes too!
ReplyDeleteThese are one of my favourite trees, Grace!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely back-lit golds in the trees. A beautiful place to wander.
ReplyDeleteLovely autumn trees.
ReplyDeleteWe have had the rare +22 C one week and it is here already heat, especially when it is not until the spring.
As others have said, the light is lovely on these pretty trees. 24C is considered hot here!
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful trees - love these photo's.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Autumn!
ReplyDeleteGreat light!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of plane trees before but plainly they are a delight! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trees Grace. Even though it is spring (well more like summer because it's been hot) here and I do enjoy it, autumn is my favorite season.
ReplyDeletePretty but not for your garden! What results on your knee?
ReplyDeleteGood light, wasn't it. Perth does avenues of trees well. I am surprised some people haven't heard of plane trees, but I guess if you don't live where there is a proper autumn and a cool winter, then why would you.
ReplyDeleteLovely, didn't know they were called plane trees.
ReplyDeletePlane trees speak of each season with clarity.
ReplyDeleteThe plane trees in Europe are dying due to a fungus that has come from the USA. So sad as many roads and canals are lined with them here. Hope it does not spread to Australia. Have a good day Diane
ReplyDeleteI can see why you'd choose to take this route, Grace!
ReplyDeleteA warm 23C here, Grace, the cold is to come back, 12C for the long weekend predicted...
ReplyDeleteThe title is really good - I never expected the combination from you ;-)
Absolutely and so happy you had your camera along too!
