'Take some time and smell the flowers'..

Although we are lucky to have so much fabulous street art here in Perth created by both International, Australian and WA artists, I haven't seen all that many 'on the street' murals around so I was super happy to come across the lovely lady peacefully asleep here on the footpath in front of Bamb Binos Cafe and Ice Creamery in Bassendean. The mural painted back in November last year by super talented WA artist Sharon Peterkin whose work you last saw HERE on the blog. The note in the book 'take some time and smell the flowers'.. something many have been forced to do due to the arrival of Covid shortly after the mural was painted 🌸 Hope you had/are still having a good weekend, take care and stay safe..

  1. ...I rarely see horizontalis murals like this one, it's a beauty. Always take time to smell the flowers!

  2. That is very impressive. Beautifully done. It just seems a shame to have people walking on it. Hopefully they walk gently.

  3. It is lovely. I guess it won't last as long with people walking on it, Grace.

  5. Dearest Grace,
That is a lovely street mural! Even though it is hard to capture the entire image visually when walking or standing there.
Funny name with the double b - ending as well as beginning.
    Hugs,

  7. It's a good work. I think it is hard to keep such a mural 'alive' with people walking over it constantly along with street sweepers brushing away at it, otherwise we might see more of them.

  8. It’s a shame to walk on that beautiful piece.

  9. That's a super mural with a important message. We are having lousy weather this weekend. A low depression has stalled on our doorstep just as my daughter and husband are driving up from Sydney to see us. what else can go wrong this year?

  10. How lovely, but a dangerous place to take a snooze. I wonder how many pedestrians step gently around her.

So you can say that you are "walking on roses"!
Hello gorgeous ✨, how are you? 🌷

  12. What a strange place for a mural, everybody can steps over it. But is is very well painted and the girl seems to feel alright with people looking down on her.

  13. Nice work. Hope it's not very worn out in a couple of months but maybe that's just the intention.

  14. This is a dangerous one, Grace!
It´s so beautiful I´d tip-toe onto the street to not touch it! Not stomp on it. We have such an artist here, too, (if not near to this talent!) - Sami might tell you, on Bohlweg, and I walk around it always, too (enough place on the pavement).

  15. It's a brilliant mural Grace. I wonder how long it will last though with people walking all over it. Thanks for contributing to Monday Murals.

  19. The best perfumes are not necessarily the most expensive ones nor do they have to be made by the most popular perfume brands. In short, the fact that a perfume is high-end doesn't mean it is made with expensive ingredients. Parfum pas cher
