CDP Theme October.. Covid-19.

The theme for City Daily Photo bloggers around the world for October is our 'response to Covid-19'. I have to admit to not being quite sure how to deal with this one and before I start I want to state that in no way do I take the far reaching effects of Covid-19 as anything but devastating in too many ways to mention.. hopefully you will forgive my typically Aussie sense of humour. I remember back when the possibility of a pandemic became real, it seems like forever ago, on Facebook Australia became the 'butt' of the great toilet paper rush, it didn't take the rest of the world long to follow, no one likes to be caught short 😉 Looking forward to seeing, probably much more serious, posts from around the world. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

  1. I remember those days too when toilet paper was like gold!
I could never understand why people felt the need to hoard toilet paper, but I'm glad those days seem to be over, at least here in Australia.

  2. Oh! I have heard a lot of stories about Toilet paper dearest grace! luckily that one was not much of a problem here in the Philippines during the lockdown because we usually use the "Tabo" in the bathroom :) You can search it up in google what Tabo is :) it's hard for me to describe haha Happy October dear Grace!

  3. Well it's getting back to that again here with stores restricting the amount you can have

  4. Ah, you've got to have a huge stock pile of toilet paper!

I thought, and still do, think it funny how everyone seemed to rush out for a hoard of toilet paper. I stocked extra food instead.

  5. You are so punny, Grace. I needed that today.

  6. Dearest Grace,
Yep, so many things did fly off the shelves for months...
People do react kind of strange!

  7. Ah, yes, the toilet paper hoarding trend. How silly!

  8. Stopping in to say howdy.
No issues getting crapper paper here.
The stores keeps at the limit one per visit.
But the shelves are stocked well.
    Same with tissues and napkins.
So .. no complaints on my end.
In other news, autumn has started here
    and it's SOOOO pretty out.
Hope you are well. Happy Spring, I think for you?
    Cheers and boogie boogie.

  9. Yes, we did go through a time when TP was unavailable, now it is available, but not a wide brand choice. Part of the shortage had nothing to do with hoarding. People stoped going to work, so they were using their own toilets more. Residential demand soared.

  10. I have to admit that I now have a good supply on hand in case there is a shortage again. Paper towels seem to be in a shortage here supposedly because people are cleaning things so much!

  11. I remember that. I never understood it, why not do food instead. I saw a person leave the store with a trolley filled with TP. Next time we went there restrictions were placed on certain items. :) Nice one, Grace!

  12. ...the T-paper shortage was unbelievable.

  13. It is good to have humor during these difficult times ... at one point friends were giving rolls of toilet paper as thank you gifts.

  14. This made me laugh! It's perfect for todays theme. I remember that shortage very well. We still have a huge shortage of cleaning supplies here in the states. I love your sense of humor.

  19. I can make do without a lot of things, but not toilet paper! That's why I always keep an unopened jumbo pack at the back of the closet, just in case!

  20. Such a crappy display! (humor intended!). Our new world certainly is chaotic, isn't it?!

  22. Excellent! Great post Grace. I also remember that six months ago I kept on saying at home that for as long as we had toilet paper we would be okay.

  23. The problem was here as well. A friend came across a couple fighting (fisty cuffs) over the last rolls of paper left in the shop!! Stay safe Diane

  26. I think if you show that photo in 10 years time and ask what year it was taken, most people will get it right. Great interpretation on the theme.

Am so happy to testify about a great spell caster that helped me when all hope was lost for me to unite with my ex-girlfriend that I love so much. I had a girlfriend that love me so much but something terrible happen to our relationship one afternoon when her friend that was always trying to get to me was trying to force me to make love to her just because she was been jealous of her friend that i was dating and on the scene my girlfriend just walk in and she thought we had something special doing together, i tried to explain things to her that her friend always do this whenever she is not with me and i always refuse her but i never told her because i did not want the both of them to be enemies to each other but she never believed me. She broke up with me and I tried times without numbers to make her believe me but she never believed me until one day i heard about the DR.
