Spotted le grand chook when we were in Fremantle last week. 'Fremantle Roosters' was commissioned by Silverleaf Investments and painted in July by Dutch born Fremantle based multi-disciplinary artist Amok Island. You can see St. John's Anglican Church in the background below, the inspiration for the mural came from 'some old historic photos taken from the church where you could see a lot of backyards full of chicken coops, so they thought it was fitting to do to a bit of a historic reference,' the artist said.
