On the way home from a birthday party in the park yesterday we stopped in Applecross, one of Perth's older riverside suburbs well known for it's breathtakingly beautiful jacaranda tree lined streets. I'm pretty sure that in spring from above Applecross would be a blaze of purple! Whenever I'm here taking purple pics I hear 'Purple Rain' running as background music in my head, you can see why right :) These are just a few of the pics I took yesterday.. quite by chance I came across an amazing view that I hadn't spotted before, show you soon. Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe...
Schöne Farben vom Frühling.

Very beautiful. I've never seen trees like those. Mrs. M's favorite color also.
ReplyDeleteLove those blooms!!!
ReplyDelete...one of my favorites in Maui.
ReplyDeleteOh how I love jacaranda trees! I would be spending all my time in this spot this time of year!
ReplyDeleteGrace, you are so lucky to be able to live in a place where jacaranda trees grow. Your photos are breath taking. Looks like you are having a beautiful spring.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I used to play Jacaranda Golf Course in Ft. Lauderdale...it had lots of Jacaranda trees. But none as pretty as these! Super photos, Grace!

What a beautiful sight, Grace!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive. While I have seen one in flower here, generally they aren't as yet. I had to look up the location of Applecross as I had never heard of it. Not a cheap place to live, I should think.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. I never seen those kind of trees before.
ReplyDeleteOh my! The scenery is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Grace!
ReplyDeleteHehe, I watched or rather had to watch Purple Rain in Rouen. Means... in French! It was a pain since my French definitively wasn´t good enough at age 14. Not that it is now...
I love those purple yacaranda's, amazing colour for a tree.
ReplyDeletewow, gorgeous photos. This is the first time I have visited Australia in spring, it's lovely to see all the beautiful colours.
ReplyDeleteThey had the Jacaranda festival in Applecross a week or two ago. That jacaranda lined street is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, looks soooo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLucky people who are living there.
Since I have always been a huge Prince fan, of course the title of your post caught my attention! Gorgeous photos Grace.
ReplyDeleteLove them, such a stunning colour.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, Grace!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteWe used to live in a house that had two huge jacarandas in front. I grew to hate those trees. Purple rain is right. When they are in bloom they give off a fine mist that makes everything sticky. The blossoms are really sticky and you can't get them off your shoes and they get tracked into your car, house, etc. Some towns don't allow them to be planted near the street or sidewalks.
Wow ! Simply wonderful, Grace !
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! We have jacaranda down here, but it is not blooming now.
