Did you hear the story about...

Don't you love it when you download a series of photos and spot one that is sublimely perfect for manipulation! I shot the image above thinking 'darn balloon', only later did I see the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) 'orbiting' around the side, how could I possibly not evolve it into an 'outer space planetary exploration' scenario :)

This drone was flying over the opening of Krispy Kreme early on Wednesday morning, check out the attached Canon camera looking straight at me. Did you hear the story about the lady caught sunbathing in her back garden last week, it went viral.. I don't mean to smile but somehow can't stop, wicked moi :) note I've used a link without an image, I think that shot has set sail and left the harbour :) Meanwhile on a more serious note reckless use of the drones is becoming a danger to aircraft and that isn't funny at all! Hope you have a fab weekend, take care and stay safe.. p.s. I enjoyed the cloud formations in the shot below.

  2. Can you imagine explaining to someone from a century ago about drones?

    Very creative!

  3. I do agree with William, hard to imagine trying to explain drones to anyone a century ago!! Fun, "other worldly" shots for the day!! Hope you have a great weekend, Grace!!

  4. Hope we can do better regulating drones than we have done regulating the use of cell phones while people are driving.

  5. Now I can just imagine a drone flying over Apollo Beach or Playalinda Beach here in Florida holding a GoPro.

Neat capture of the drone. They tend to be problimatic at some places in the USA because most people do not know they are regulated and certain laws followed.

  6. Fly me to the moon,
I want to sign upon a star,
I want to see what Grace is doing,
    Up in the sky afar.

Drones are a problem. Can you shoot 'em down?

Check out: Http://floridafotos.blogspot.com for the fun of it.

  7. The French TV shows are making great use of the drones to fly over châteaux and such, and they get wonderful shots. My fear is that the bad guys are gonna start doing more than taking pictures. Ah well.

  8. I love the first one :)
Wouldn't it be a nice thing, to warn the neighborhood before they
send out a drone? What if it wouldn't just have been the lady but
also her neighbors husband legs and arms all tangled up? :D

    Have a fine weekend!

  9. Nice moon-probe shot. I hear that these drones are proving very useful in our nature reserves as they allow the wardens to find and count nesting birds without alarming them. As long as it's naturalists and not naturists.....

  10. Estupendas tus imágenes como siempre.

  11. The drone looks quite ominous...like a super-size busy ant. I expect that some day this ant may include a sting too.

  12. Your photo is a great find! Those drones, I have reservations against it. You don't have any privacy anymore, not even in your own backyard.

    That really made me LOOK!

    HAPPY WEEKEND!

  15. Drone. Perfect name for this type of aircraft, if you ask me.

  16. They sure do look like alien spaceships!

  17. Here they think about delivering parcels and even food like Pizza with drones. Not coming, I guess! Yes dangerous to "real" aircraft, I agree!

  18. I did read about the woman caught sunbathing topless by a drone. It was said that she was lying on her stomach, so the image was less exciting than it might have been. It seems that we have cameras everywhere, so we might just as well accept that everything we do will be captured on a camera.

  19. It seems there's no longer any privacy. Drones might be useful for certain things, but I think they shouldn't be used in a built up area. Great photos though.

  20. Soon we will all be shooting from our own drone. As for topless sunbathers I think you would get a better shot just by going to the beach and ask someone for a portrait...
