On Scarborough Beach.....

While all my blog mates in the Northern Hemisphere are getting set to batten down the hatches for winter, we here in Oz are preparing for a sizzler of a summer if the forecast is anything to go by. Steering right away from the city yesterday, we drove down the coast to check out Scarborogh Beach. Although it's still officially spring here and autumn in the NH both sides of the globe seem to be experiencing unusually early signs of summer/winter. Scarborough beach, a bit like Bondi beach in Sydney is one of the more 'colourful' beaches along Perth's coast. The lifeguards were out in force already, choppy conditions and the ever present,it seems, threat of sharks these days. The stairs above lead up from the beach to the cafe's along the boardwalk. Here's hoping for a happy Friday, take care and stay safe.....

  3. One of first pics that comes to mind when we hear Australia, is surf! So your photos today are very well matching with the idea we may have of your country: the blue waves, guys with blond hair surfing, and ..sharks! (but let's forget the last one!)

  4. Hi from the UK...just wondering how Scarborough is going now regarding the trouble that seemed to be going on in October (saw it on the evening news when we were staying in Fremantle); such a shame all the bad things that happen spoiling other people's fun, eh? Have things got any better?

PS - wish we were still over there to share your lovely warm weather :) Fremantle is beautiful

  5. What a colorful way to get to that beautiful beach!! It made me smile and giggle just looking at your first shot and what gorgeous, blue water!! Yep, lets forget about the sharks, but do keep an eye out!! From what I've read lately the sharks do love the beaches/water of Australia! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy!

  9. Are we goin' to Scarborough Fair?

Oh, wait, this is Scarborough Beach! I LOVE that mural! One of the best I've ever seen. And this is a delightful beach. Look at the color of that water. Reminds me of south Florida.

  16. What a great picture, can almost hear the waves there... my son emigrated to Scarborough with his wife who came from Perth... they live about 8 mins walk from the beach... they have never mentioned the sharks being around, they always said they were further along the coast,... going to question them now haha. Anyway thank you for sharing the picture.. all the best from rainy and cold UK!!

  17. The very colourful mural gets my vote. Roll on summer because the cold weather has worn out its welcome in my books.

  18. That's crazy! But would you really want to walk through those teeth?

Freakishly warm for the time of year our here on the Kansas prairie (about 18) where we are visiting my wife's family for our Thanksgiving holiday.

Sorry I haven't been by much. Too much work, too much travel. This weekend is quieter.

  19. Now that looks bright and cheerie! Surfers neat too. Scarborough is a famous seaside town here in England and it always makes me smile when I see town names transported to far away places. Super!

  25. Thank you for the good sized pictures. I was very interested in the vehicles with the surf boards atop. ;-)

  26. That water is the perfect shade of aqua! I am hoping that you have a shark-free summer there!

The steps and street art are a colorful match to the sand and water.

  29. I haven´t see that mural before either, although unlike Helene I don´t live that close to the beach, nor do I go to the beach that often...maybe that´s why I haven´t seen it! But it´s beautiful with all those colours.

  30. The vast majority of photos of Perth you have shared with us, show just how modern the place is. I was amazed by the artwork in the first picture, and also on previous posts of the arena and that interesting pineapple.

  53. This regimen is an absolute God send. Prior to I identified
this, I'd often focused on Bodybuilding due to the fact I loved the program. Nevertheless, I by no means truly saw any strength gains(a tiny here and there). I also did not need to enter into the Powerlifting globe because it was also limited(the big 3) for me. Powerbuilding is my new adore...it's definitely
perfect for me. I am only on my 2nd, twelve working
day cycle and I am already seeing final results. Many

  54. It appears probably that at 213 pounds, he was carrying some body fat.

Which can be why the director wanted him to shed excess weight.
He then cut to one hundred ninety lbs. So he didn't acquire everything muscle mass without attaining body fat. It feels like he misplaced 23 lbs of unwanted fat to star in Batman. So unwanted fat accounts for part of his amazing bodyweight gain. The truth that he was starting out from close to hunger amounts is another explanation. And i would not be shocked if steroids have been utilized. Nevertheless, his create in Batman appears very good, not roid-monkeyish whatsoever.
