As the weather warms up and the sun goes down you'll find
the Breakwater Tavern at Hillary's Boat Harbour bustling with Perthites and tourists alike, winding down with a drink at the end of the day. I'm not much of a drinker (apparently I'm hilarious after two haha!) but I have had a really good meal upstairs at
Ishka Restaurant. I'm sure you've probably guessed by now that the marina is one of my favourite spots to hang out, as you sit in one of the many cafes looking out at the boats in the harbour, it's easy to see how lucky we are. So here's the thing, why not something along these lines for the Swan River foreshore improvement scheme (yesterday's post), it would be so much more appealing than highrise
n'est-ce pas? So cheers! Have a wonderful weekend, take care and stay safe.....
Well I guess I'm inclined to agree, maybe because I love harbours like this.
ReplyDeletePerth appears to be fully decked out with all kinds of fascinating places and I especially like this as I love boats, water, docks, and restaurant/bars. And I can't help but wonder how funny you would be after 3 drinks! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! I love places like this where I can see the water, boats, docks! Always makes for a fun day out and a great meal! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Stay safe and enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely spot!
ReplyDeleteSigh, so gorgeous! This would be a favorite too, if I had the luck to live there. And that menu!...I'll take the quail and scallops:) (Thank you also for sweetly directing me to Cloudia's site - so fun to find a beautiful link to Hawaii online!)
ReplyDeleteI love the still waters in places like this. Wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so summery!
ReplyDeleteThat looks a fun place to walk around and enjoy. We have family living in Torquay, Victoria, and they are so ready for warmer weather. You have a good weekend too!
ReplyDeleteI'd say it would be more profitable to build, sell or rent highrisers.
ReplyDeleteLovely reflections on the water..... good shots Grace.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Joop
More beautiful shots Grace! You really do show the world the beauty of West Australia, like your blog header promises :-) I have a friend on his way to live there right know.... he is one lucky bloke!
ReplyDeleteYou are very lucky Grace to be surrounded by such wonderful places. Thanks for having your camera at hand. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteCheers to you! Fog and 4° here tonight, no sitting outside!
ReplyDeleteHere a trivia question for Lowell. Does the sun ever go down in a tavern?
ReplyDeleteNow that I've been living ashore for a year, I can enjoy the harbor as a place to wander. . . .Lovely, my dear
ReplyDeleteHappy Aloha Friday!

There is nothing quite so fun as messing about in boats, or something like that. As much as I love sailing, it is the harbor that makes me want to write poetry.
ReplyDeleteLovely views here, Grace.
Bises,
Genie
Looks like a peaceful time of day.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, Grace. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the water activity is fun, and the rich red roofs are eye-catching. I would definitely spend time here!

There is something forever soothing about a marina.
ReplyDelete[I suspect you are funny without two drinks, Grace.]
That does look and sound like a great location for a bite to eat.
ReplyDeleteHave yourself a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteIt'a a beautiful spot to relax.

ReplyDeletealways enjoy a meal by the water!

I am captivated by Perth. Not only is it a desert like city but the ocean is right there creating really interesting ecosystems within your area. I imagine Tucson would be similar if the ocean where right on our shores. Well it could happen....California is just a quake away from falling into the ocean:)
