Three street pianos painted back and front by 'Shakey' aka Jake Butler in Brookfield Place.. I wish I'd been there to watch him paint these beauties. I love all three but the expressions on the pooches faces above stole my heart and made it the winner pour moi.. check out the dopey smile on the white dog second to the end right, classic 😊 In the short video here the artist tells the story of how the nickname 'Shakey' came about.. inspiring! Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..
They're very colourful! That first one's adorable!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! Such a pleasure to see them!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Grace !
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such colouful pianos.
...love the peacock.
ReplyDeleteWow! Love all of it! Great talent there!
ReplyDeleteWow I really like all of these but I have to agree that the expressions on the dogs faces are excellent. A couple of them look like they are singing along 😉😉
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Diane
Fantastic! I'd stop and play the piano if that was allowed. And I don't play very well. BTW, you are right. Those birds are cattle egrets, a species of heron. I've always heard they were cowbirds 'cuz they hang around cows. Mea culpa, mea culpa. 😍
ReplyDeleteSo cool, G!
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic! But, those dogs steal the show. I love them!
ReplyDeleteVery cool and very creative. My favorite is the dogs, that one is outstanding indeed!
ReplyDeleteMr 'Roo looks rather world weary. All of the dogs are terrific.
ReplyDeleteThe painting gives new life to old pianos, love the dogs. Now they can make beautiful music.
ReplyDeleteI like the dogs too!
ReplyDeleteYou have street pianos????? Can anyone play them???? What a brill idea. I can only play "chopsticks" would that be acceptable?
ReplyDeleteLove those crazy doggies, and the roo.
The dopey smiler was the first thing I saw. What a great little pack. And what a beautiful group of pianos. I'm beginning to think your area is an artistic Nirvana.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Grace! But I have to admit... at first sight I thought it´s WB´s work (the artis´s painting(s) hanging right here).
ReplyDeleteEither way... beautiful!!!!!
Marvelous! These are charming.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!!
