The evening Perth Makers Market in Yagan Square in the city is always popular at any time of the year, here on Friday evening the market had a distinctly Christmassy feel to it, to be expected I guess.. seriously where did this year go! Food trucks, cafes, restaurants and pubs were packed on this warm almost summer evening as workers, below, poured out of their offices to start the weekend. This wasn't the only market in the city on Friday evening, over in Forrest Place the Twilight Hawkers Market markets were busy also.. love to see the city bustling like this. Hope you are enjoying your weekend, take care and stay safe..
It really does look packed!
ReplyDelete...this year went in a flash!
ReplyDeleteI love markets like this but they are relatively rare here. I'm surprised at how big it is. I'd guess you could find just about anything your little heart desires in such a market. :)
ReplyDeleteI like markets on street :) Arianna

ReplyDeleteSummer? It's been snowing here for a week!
Looking in on your wonderful Pacific city only makes us realize even more that we shall decamp back to the islands before too many more winters pass. Stop the presses! You heard it here first..... perhaps next fall? Stay tuned!!! It has been a learning adventure and a blessing in many ways.....
ReplyDeleteThey have a great crowd for it, Grace! The big Christmas Market opened here this week and the Santa Claus Parade is tomorrow so the season is upon us!
ReplyDeleteA fine time to be outside in the square unlike here where it is sunny, but cold. Have a great Sunday, Grace.

ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that while Perth doesn't have a huge population, it can feel quite busy and bustling at times. These are signs of a successful city.

ReplyDeleteMust be a kind of excitement in the air with the markets there, I like how they have lights up on each booth, kind of Christmasy.

ReplyDeleteThis looks like fun. Every church and civic group around here seems to have a bazaar or craft market this time of year.
ReplyDeleteA market always a nice place to take some candid portraits.
ReplyDeleteA summer evening market does sound like fun. Sweet warm air wafting with the aroma of good food punctuated with joyous voices.
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks like how Times Square looked ever time we left the hotel in New York. Busy, busy, busy.
