... since we've had a wander around Elizabeth Quay. It was one of those 19C but feels like 14C days. The clouds whipped across the blue sky while the seagulls hunkered down out of the wind.. the perfect kind of day actually :) Above looking out across the quay through the bridge to the Swan River and below the carousel, handcrafted in Venice, you can read how it came to be in Elizabeth Quay here. Thought you might like to see some of the gorgeous details on the central column, you might have to embiggen the shot. It really is a very pretty carousel. Hope you are having a fab weekend, happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..
That certainly is a lavish looking carousel!
ReplyDeleteWow! You don't see craftsmanship like that very often these days.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful landscape and lovely carousel.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
I love observing these carousels, they are so beautiful, in the Zoo of Lisboa there is one, whenever I go there I throw lots of photos.
Have a happy weekend
Warm regards

The carousel is beautiful and quite impressive.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it was a fabulous day, Grace! We are having temps around 5˚C but it has been rainy most of the week.
ReplyDeleteI love the carousel. Lovely colours brighten my day up.
ReplyDelete...now that's quite the ornate carousel.
ReplyDeleteWonderful blue sky and water at Elizabeth Quay. That is a very fine looking carousel. Bet it has been delighting children for generations. Good shots on a successful day out. Enjoy your Sunday.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fine carousel. I can't remember where now but we saw one that was still steam powered.
ReplyDeleteThat carousel is amazing, thanks for taking such fab shots for us to see. Have a good day Diane
ReplyDeleteThe carousel reminds me of the one in Paris, just over the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. That was also quite ornate. Love the first shot; the colors just sparkle and I could look at that scene for hours. You are lucky to live in such a place as I've reminded you many times! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty - and what an undertaking. This sort of quality is very magical. Leave it to a jeweler to be committed to getting it right.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful carousel Grace, I had no idea it came from Venice.
ReplyDeleteAwesome view, Loved the post.
ReplyDeleteWow, that really is a stunning carousel. And that view across the water is pretty stunning too.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty carousel but not at pretty as the water view on a bright clear day, lovely.
ReplyDeleteHow deep blue do you want. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love that carousel!
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkling water shown in the first photo, I want to join the seagulls sitting on the boards. Lovely carousel. After sitting with the seagulls for a while, I think I'd like to ride one of those fine carousel horses!
ReplyDeleteI want to visit Perth again one day. Love the carousel
ReplyDeleteGreat view! Spectacular detail in the carousel!
ReplyDeleteCount me in on hanging out here! On a non-related note, I need a new camera. What do you shoot?
