Yesterday we went to the Northern Exposure Photo Market held four times a year in the Leederville Town Hall. The diversity of photography related goods ranges from compact and DSLR cameras, lenses, charges, batteries, all the way through to tripods and everything in-between.. you never know what you might find and it's fun looking. The difference in age of the people that come in search of treasure never ceases to amaze me, from keen youngsters starting their photography journey to older experienced photographers and again, everyone in-between, like moi 😉 Hope you had a good weekend, happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
Next week my turn on such an event.
ReplyDelete...lots of BIG boy toys!
ReplyDeleteWould love to wander around in this market. The ideal number of cameras is one more than you currently own, and I would also like to add to my lens collection.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who has pared down his photographic equipment to an absolute minimum, that would be a dangerous place for me to enter!
ReplyDeleteI'd enjoy that!
ReplyDeleteI would be so out of my depth!
ReplyDeleteEveryone who takes photos loves these kind of events. :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to wander there but way beyond my knowledge!
ReplyDeleteAll in spite of how good camera phones now are. High end photography will live on. Not sure about the point and shoot market. $400 cameras don't seem much better that phone cameras.
ReplyDeleteI would think that everyone who takes photographs would love an event like this!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
That really sounds like fun I would have enjouyed walking around there with you. Cheers Diane
ReplyDeleteMuito importante e útil estas feiras.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom Domingo.

Oh my, lots of wonderful toys I know you had quite the time!
ReplyDeleteI sincerely believe that once I got inside of that place, you'd have to hire a tow truck to pull me out. Talk about heaven on earth!
ReplyDeleteoh I think a place like that would be too dangerous for me, I'd see too many things I'd want.
ReplyDeleteThere's even one in a stroller in your second shot. It's never too early to start. (This looks like a great event.)
ReplyDeleteWould love to visit such events. What did you pick up?
ReplyDeleteI've never been to anything like that. I wish they had one here. I've got a couple of old cameras I might be able to sell at an event like that.
ReplyDeleteWow, Grace, that is awesome and I was so surprised when Ingo got that old cam - and got a "film" and worked with it.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad gave me a non-digital cam (not available back then) - it was an automatic, though, all you had to do... well, much, much more than today!
waiting... Did it work out? Especially with us! We stored the film-rolls underneath our clothes on our journeys through Australia cause... car.. HEAT!!! LOL - we took them to Germany to get developed! Hilarious these days!
Thank you for the reminder of what luxury we have today, if we choose to!
So nice.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week ahead.
That would be a fun place to go.
ReplyDeleteI think I would be overwhelmed at a market like that.
ReplyDeleteThat is something my hubby is fond of, we never go together...:)
ReplyDeleteDid you buy anything? It reminded me of a show I watched a few decades ago called Northern Exposure. Thanks for the info on your camera. It is a big decision.''Janis GDP
ReplyDeleteMy husband would be in camera heaven there. I wouldn’t know what anything was for. I like the contrast between the black and white and the colour photos.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll stick to my little point'n'shoot camera, it does a good enough job for me. Those bog boy toys are too confusing.
ReplyDeleteI remember a series called "Northern exposure" lol.
ReplyDeleteIt must be a fun market to attend.
Nice
ReplyDeleteDid you find treasures? ... :)
