Couldn't resist a peek inside Citroenella at the Bonjour Perth festival last weekend. The red/yellow combination attracted me straight away. My very first car was a Morris Minor, hand painted, yup you read that correctly :) red with yellow wheel-caps, known affectionately around town if I hadn't bumped into them as the Noddy car. My car didn't have a wind-up key on the back but it would have been useful at times! Looking at the stickers on the back Citroenella has been around Australia and back however it was the interior contents that made me smile, kangaroo, teddy and đ€'s in a row :) Happy weekend, take care and stay safe..
That's a car that'll stand out! The teddy and roo are cute.

How fun! I can kind of picture you driving around in that colorful car, hair in a ponytail and tie-died top on. Oh, wait a minute......that might of been me I was thinking of.
ReplyDelete...great reflections, but Grace those car are the ugliest things that I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reflections photo. You must have been at a Citroen car show. There are a couple of Citroens that I always liked, but never owned. Of course the 2CV would be a fun car to run around in, but I would love to have a Traction Avant, the first really modern automobile, or a beautiful 1970s DS. Unfortunately none of these cars are available around here.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine had a brightly coloured, hand-painted car when we were at uni. The problem was that he kept getting stopped by police who thought he was a drug-taking hippie, something which he resented despite it being a reasonably accurate description. One weekend we re-painted it with a tin of matt-black and he was never stopped again. What PC Plod would have made of Citroenella I can only guess.
ReplyDeleteI spotted dear kanga right away! Bonjour Dear <3
ReplyDeleteMorris Minor, wow... haven't seen one of those in a long time! Love the first photo. Looks like a multiple exposure shot! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat is a brilliant reflection photo!
ReplyDeleteA real oh la la piekabo here . Nice.
ReplyDeleteA very clever name.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reflection!
ReplyDeleteIt would be hard to be incognito in that one, Grace!
ReplyDeleteYou do reflections so well. That first photo is an amazing maze of colors and lines. Love it. Love that old car, too. Not sure I'd want to drive all over Australia in it, though. :) For long trips I want a new luxurious automobile. BTW, how far is it from Perth to Sidney via car?
ReplyDeleteOops, I know, I know: Sidney is the name of a man; Sydney is the name of a city. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteYour Noddy car description really made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI like it - it's really bright and colourful.
ReplyDeleteCute! Had to laugh at the description of your car.
ReplyDeleteWhat a colorful paint job! I love how you described your old car Grace.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute cars Grace. Enjoyed your car description too :)
ReplyDeleteThis is super cute, and I love your first shot. And I'll bet that Morris Minor was extra cool. It sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh, Grace! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute name for a Citroën 2CV (I was wondering what you mean until I saw the last pic). Ewww. Driving around corners made me gag! (As a passenger).
Beautifully painted, I do agree 100%! My Dad would´ve fallen in love as he loved sunflowers!
Beautiful pics
ReplyDeleteI loved the Noddy tales. I was always very fond of Big Ears. That's such a sweet 2CV, nicely painted too. A friend of mine has a grey one, boring colour, but fun car!
ReplyDeleteLove it, the French make great cars :-))))) Hope all is well Diane
ReplyDeleteLove the hand painted car! Great starter vehicle, Grace!
