It's with a bit of luck that I've been able to put this post up tonight, better late than never oui :) We had a crazy electrical storm here in Perth on Wednesday night and my computer has been playing up ever since, tres annoying! A few last shots from the Rottnest Channel Swim last weekend. All the pretty girls love a roving camera man!
Hiding in the shadows below just out of reach of the approaching sunshine, the Indiana..
Speedos, budgie smugglers or whatever you like to call them.. Aimee calls them 'revolting' :) not all that much room for written advertising but perfect for personal advertising :) The group below heading in to line up, the horn blows and they're off..
Below the media were out in force to chat to the crew from Bondi Rescue, have a look as they discuss their preparation for the event here. I'm never taking 600 photos of an event again, it's just too hard :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe... P.s. big catch up today!
Some of these crowd shots, you'd half expect to play a bit of a game of Where's Waldo!
ReplyDeleteLooks refreshing the water does...
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Looks like a fun time.
ReplyDeleteHope your PC gets to working properly.
So many tanned people, Grace. I can't imagine swimming that far!
ReplyDeleteThey are certainly a brave and hardy bunch of men and women heading out into the water. I like that "Climate Action Now" T-shirt too.
ReplyDeleteClimate action now man is so cool with his Finding Nemo hat on too!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of snaps for one day. Looks like a great event. No scary photos from the storm then?
ReplyDeleteBetter looking on some than others. :-)
ReplyDeleteSpeedos aren't the problem. The problem is some of the people and their age who wear them and they shouldn't.
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of action at the beach. How long was that race?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics.
ReplyDeleteGreetings
The spectators are as interesting as the swimmers. Nice photos again, Grace!
ReplyDeleteThat is a big event I see!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! Have a great weekend!

It looks a popular event. Lots of interest when there are so many people around.
ReplyDeleteYour fine shots make me homesick for Waikiki Dear <3
ReplyDeleteI think that pretty girls love the cameraman, too! The crowd shots really make me "see" the event. Is the heat wave still around? Happy week-end to you, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Grace, phew 600 photos for just an event is a lot!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend and stay out of the heat!
600 pics, Grace! I have to admid, at times I am "glad" we did not have this technology in 1999... I´d still sit and edit/organize...
ReplyDeleteGreat series of the event. Ingo said the weather will warm up to 15C, I can´t believe it yet.
What fun! (the beach, not your storm).
ReplyDelete"Budgie smugglers"? haha, I never heard that one!
This looks like fun. Makes me wish I could swim!
ReplyDeleteOf course ! Australia, is the up side done world !
ReplyDeleteHello from Switzerland !
