The February theme for City Daily Photo bloggers around the world is 'power'. Having patience for many of the things in our daily life is most certainly a power that so many do not possess, myself included. On a walk recently P captured these shots of the delightful, tiny and extremely evasive Splendid Fairy Wren. The male here is sporting his stunning mating plumage, can you spot the female in the collage below, no wonder she looks cranky :)
Oh and that's my effort below.. I know right :) it's all too hard! Happy new week, take care and stay safe..

Terrific bird photos. These are beautiful looking wrens. I know how hard they are to photography because they seldom sit still.
ReplyDelete...one power that I need to work on.
ReplyDeleteFew birds are as well named as the Splendid Fairy Wren. If you're as brightly coloured as that it would pay to be evasive.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful name for a wee wren! I too suffer from a lack of patience even though I try hard. Good take on the theme, Grace.
ReplyDeleteThat is a splendid fellow! Thank you for being here.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet bird, and nicely captured. They are great to watch flitting around a garden.

ReplyDeleteBy the way, Ratana is a spammer who can't take a hint.
What a stunning colour! So Blue, bluer than Blue I think. I'd love to see one of these little gems.
ReplyDeleteThe fairy wrens are stunning. Some female birds really are lacking in the beauty stakes, lol. P has a lot of patience to capture these lovely birds :)
