Broody chook..

Spotted the colourful mural on the way out of Fremantle last week. On the wall of the Broody Hen Coffee Shop it was painted earlier this year in July by Freo multi-disciplinary artist Jackson Harvey. That chook definitely has a broody protective glint in her eye :) Hope you had/are still having a good weekend, can you believe it's going to be 27C here today.. not sure if I'm ready yet! Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..

  1. She looks like she's saying "touch that chick and you'll be sorry". I like the flowers in this one too and that building is pretty unique.

  7. That is a fine mural that fits the name of the coffee house. Ah yes, wish I could safely go to a coffee house, but not until the pandemic goes away.

  10. It’s been years since I heard the word chook. My grandmother always said it. Great mural and thanks for the memories.

  11. I can't tell if she is broody, but there is a 'stay away from me' look in her eye.

  12. Dearest Sami,
That hen is painted very well but the flowers are way out of proportion; does look very odd.
    Hugs,

  18. Beautiful! As long as she does not attract a cock.
Bad memories. Jamaica. 04-something am, that noise!!!! Every morno. ARGH! And yet. I bought eggs that protect cocks! (As in they are a tad more expensive but the company raises them instead of shredding).
