The fox and the butterfly..

The Weekend Reflection here was indeed a reflection of the wonderfully engaging mural on the wall of Jitterz on Hay. I feel there has be a story attached to this one and even though it is signed @HOPE I couldn't find any information re the artist or the story. I think it must be fairly new, am sure I would have spotted it driving down Hay Street before, it was tricky to get a good shot with the many posts in the way. Interesting bit of useless information, I did not know that foxes can climb and often sleep in trees.. did you? Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..

  2. I am not surprised to hear that about foxes. I have seen them jump over high fences from a standing position! Beautiful mural!

  3. I did not know that a fox can climb but I have found an articol where they write that only in Australia they do that looking for baby koalas and other small animals to eat!
If you want to read you can find the article here, but is in Dutch!

  4. I agree, I bet there is a story behind this mural. It makes me think of the importance of our connection to nature.

  8. Lovely colourful mural. I don't think our foxes do that, but you never know. I've just been reading a book by a respected naturalist who reports having seen a badger climbing up a rock-face!

  10. I didn't know that about foxes. They must have sharp claws like a cat. I love the mural, Grace, and like your pic of it.

  19. I stopped on the roadside for a break last week and walking across to admire the view was surprised to see five foxes hanging by their tails in a tree, not that I should be surprised about this type of thing in the country because foxes are a real pest. I didn't take a photo ... a bit gruesome to use anywhere.
