Le crêpier..

As a fully fledged Francophile I was delighted to come across Crêpe Street yesterday while in Fremantle with mon amie française Marie. The energetic Jean Luc Gilbert below who makes the crêpes in the French culinary tradition with fresh and quality products states 'to smell and to savor our crêpes is to travel for a while into the heart of the terrior of France.' It is true that for a while, in the middle of the day in Freo I was indeed transported to the 4th Arrondissement, I wish :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. mon amie française Marie highly recommends the Monaco, the special of the day below!

  1. It looks like an inviting place for a bite to eat. And who could pass up crepes?

  2. You found a poet! And he found the one who fully appreciates his poem!

  4. It looks like you had much better luck with a French crepe maker than I did a few weeks ago. I tried a new place (to me) in Scottsdale and found that it didn't hold up to true French standards. This looks like a great place with a very friendly crepe maker.
P.S. about your comment about fall in Arizona. It comes much later in the desert area. We don't see trees change until December so it's quite normal for us.

  5. I haven't had crepes in ages. There used to be a great little spot for them here that became a big spot and somehow it didn't feel the same anymore.

  13. I think that Jean Luc would have no problem if you did a step closer to photograph him and his business. Read my comment on your answer on my posting yesterday . And what I forgot use a wide angle lens on your camera so that you have sufficient depth of field even by darker scenes.

  18. ah-ha, I took French at school, even though I was hopeless at it so I recognized some of your words - your French Friend Marie. What's your favourite flavoured crepe btw?
