Work in progress.. Fremantle icons.



When in Fremantle last week I was lucky enough to come across internationally recognized Perth artist ArtByDestroy working on his latest project, as yet unfinished but too good to pass up taking a few shots of rock legend Bon Scott (1946-1980) lead singer of AC/DC and John Butler. On the wall of the Federal Hotel seems the perfect spot to depict two of Freo's iconic rock legends.. one still with us and one rockin' up a storm wherever rock legends catch up when they pass! Loved that the artist has depicted Fremantle so beautifully, after all the photos that have appeared on the blog I'm sure you recognize the Cappuccino Strip on South Terrace.. bloomin' brilliant!     I love how he has depicted the town, Grace! My friend is heading to Freemantle in a couple of weeks, lucky guy!

    Wow that is just brilliant. You have some great artists over there.

    I am on new tablets and two weeks of 3 x per day nebuliser and although I have not finished the first week I seem to be coughing less. Fingers crossed after four months!! How are you?

    Love your autumn header. And what a beautifully done mural.
    As for Gehry, I think I prefer the building he did in Seattle for the Experience Music Project. The form is more sinuous and the surfaces are beautifully colorful.
