Biggest Morning Tea..........
During May and June teapots will be 'brewing up big' as amazing people all around Australia host 'Biggest Morning Teas', celebrating it's 20th year, to raise awareness and funds for the Cancer Council. I was lucky enough again to be a guest at Jenny's 'biggest morning tea'. Every year Jenny, a long time family friend, presents her eager regulars with a sumptuous array of cakes and savories, washed down with coffee and tea poured from silver teapots, sipped from pretty floral china cups...oh yes and did I mention the porcelain topped teaspoons, it's all in the details oui! It was perfect this year that Jenny should be celebrated as a guest of the Cancer Council at a VIP morning tea along with other long time hosts in recognition of their dedication over the years. Bravo ladies, and gentlemen too I believe! It's been a relaxing WA Day holiday, back to business :) today, happy Tuesday, take care... Oui c'est moi dans la teapot!

What a nice idea! Do you folks like your tea like our British counterparts? While tea is popular here, it's not epic like elsewhere:)
ReplyDeleteEnchantée, Grace (well, almost, since the reflection in the tea pot is a bit blurry...) You will laugh: At first, after reading your last comment, I looked at the photo of the tea cup with the spoons, and I tried really hard to see you in there. :-) Needless to say, I did not find you... Sheesh. French Girl in Seattle clearly needs more coffee this morning. Bonne semaine. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteGod love your friend, Jenny! She is a dedicated sponsor of the event and deserves recognition. Her table and tea service are elegant and very sophisticated!
ReplyDeleteThose spoons are darling as is everything about this! How wonderful, I can't think of a better way to help a worthy cause. Your captures have such charm, every little detail is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI can't see you!!! :-) Not really. Oh how wonderful. How can you actually stop politely stop eating, how do you hold back??? The spoons are a delight!
ReplyDeleteI sent you a friend request on FB. I didn't know you were on there!!!
That looks like fun. I'm almost tempted to buy a frock and attend so I can taste the lovely baking!
ReplyDeleteNice to see your reflection!
I am not a tea lover, but I am sure I will find something I like and for a good cause!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun and what great captures for the day! Everything looks SO delicious and I love the colors! So good to be back online -- well, almost -- now I'm having computer problems which I haven't been able to get fixed, my phone died, the charger got lost in the move and I may go nuts, but we do what we have to do!!! Have a great week, Grace! Take care!
ReplyDeleteI like your tea parties a lot better than I like ours! Where's all the men, though? Out drinking coffee? :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteI would be glad to participate!
Your photos were so much fun to look at, I almost feel like I was there. What a wonderful event and for an even better cause.
ReplyDeleteA fun event for a great cause, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully elegant idea!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful notion, and a good cause, Grace.
ReplyDeleteTea, of course, is meant to be consumed with an obscene amount of sugar.
Whenever we become pessimistic about people, friends like your Jenny do selfless and generous things like this tea party, and once again we remember how wonderful people can be.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteExcellent looking event.
ReplyDeleteThis is all very feminine. I don't know how to react. Did someone say that real men don't drink tea?
ReplyDeleteAdorable ladies! What a nice meeting and your pictures are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLéia

ReplyDeleteAnother great idea for a good cause. Looks all very fancy.

ReplyDeleteoh that is a lovely table(s) setting and what a good cause, brava to your friend! ... and i wish that you had focused more on you and less on the teapot!
ReplyDeleteNice idea - a tea party for grown ups.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great event. I must admit that the only tea parties I've attended were with my daughters, when they were young. Love those spoons!
ReplyDeleteLovey post Gracie :) Jen does a lovey job every year for a great cause x
ReplyDeleteI am always up for a tea party and this one is for a good cause. Most impressive china and teaspoons. Lovely!
