Yesterday my sister and I went to the Rotary Club of Como car show held in the grounds of Wesley College in South Perth and amazingly even though the skies were black (above) at times, the rain held off thank goodness, I'm not sure if these old beauties could have coped with a deluge, and then there's the cars of course haha! For some reason I thought of Austin Powers (check the end of the video) when I saw the car above. This terribly elegant pale green Jaguar was my favourite pick for the day.....
The Bentley below was my sister's choice.....
The owners of the cars made a day of it with picnics, flasks of tea and coffee and perhaps the odd glass of champers.....!
What about this silver sensation.....
One thing that struck me were the colours, some of the cars so pale and dignified and then others that just screamed 'look at me'.....!
To end off for today.. I hope you don't mind a few more old beauties tomorrow, this 1952 Morgan + 4 below is for sale if anyone has a spare 50 thou!! I 'm pretty certain if I had a spare 50 thousand it wouldn't be spent on a set of old wheels, but I'm sure many would be tempted. Hope you have a good start to the new week, resist temptation.. if not possible, take care and stay safe.....!
What beautiful, fantastic old cars, Grace!! I love them and what a fun car show! Those skies did look menacing!!! Glad they cleared off so you could enjoy all the fun! I do love old cars! Thanks for sharing the fun!! Hope you have great week!!
ReplyDeleteNice rides!!! But for the first one....groovy, baby!!!
ReplyDeleteTolle Parade von vierbeinigen Pferdchen...:-)

What great fun to see these old beauties!
ReplyDeleteLove your images! What a great set of photos.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a good event. To buy an additional car as a hobby, you need to have a lot of money. The maintenance of such a car must be expensive.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Love these old cars. I would love to have a ride in any of them!
ReplyDeleteMy dad would be over the moon going to one of these. He's fascinated by these old cars.
ReplyDeleteI want I want I want......!
ReplyDeleteBonza photos. Ya just can't beat the vintage car for their style and elegance.

ReplyDeleteI want that Jag in my driveway. Pretty please!
ReplyDeleteWow, oh wow! What I'd give to take my camera there. I hope you have more than a few for us tomorrow Grace.
ReplyDeletethese old beauties make my heart sing.
ReplyDeleteI'll take the first one.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely. Even people who are not interested in cars don't seem to mind looking at old and beautiful cars.
ReplyDeleteI've had a soft spot for Jaguars since my (own long-ago:) youth - that one's a beauty! They're all beautiful, and something special about experiencing them on a grand day out, rather than inside museums. (I'd forgotten that Austin Powers does a gratuitous somersault into that car - thanks for the trip down memory lane!)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, these are real beauties. It must have been fun looking at these gems.
ReplyDeleteTu nous fais rêver, Gracie! Ici, les défilés de voitures anciennes sont tout de même plus ordinaires.
ReplyDeleteBonne semaine!
