Yay, I have a brain.....ouch it hurts!
The skies over Perth may be cloudy and grey, but they have nothing on what's going on in my head. My dear old Dad, who suffered from migraines and passed them on down to moi always used to say "you canna hae a migraine hen (in heavy Scottish accent!) you've got tae hae a brain to hae a migraine", good old Dad, how I miss him. Well the proof is in the pudding as they say, I must have a brain, deep down I've always suspected it haha! I've pulled out a few shots from last year which look pretty much how the skies over Perth have been for the last week. I'm going to give my eyes a couple of days off looking at the computer screen, so I'll catch up soon. Have a great week and keep safe.....

I do relate not only to the gray skies, but the "brain problem"!!! I can't believe how easily and quickly I forget everything, anything and then some!! I hope you have a great break! Enjoy and do something wonderful, just for you!

nice memories, and nice photos Grace,
ReplyDeletemy best regards to you, I am missing all of you but... for now I can't follow too much...
have a great time, ciao
Oh, I feel for you. I've endured my fair share of migraines. They're awful. Rest up. We'll still be here when you're feeling better and back posting.
ReplyDeleteThese are really beautiful Grace. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThat long shot of the pier is great! I'm glad you chose that one to pull out - great composition.
ReplyDeleteDon't let it get to your head!
ReplyDeleteThe worst weather for migraines for sure!
ReplyDeleteLove the sentiments of dear old dad! He sounds a lot like mine did, minus the accent, that is! Hope you feel better soon...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your migraine - hope you feel better soon. I used to get them a lot. I take a marvellous little preventative pill now called Pizotifen, on prescription, that has all but cleared them up.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon :-).
ReplyDeleteWhenever alike happens to me, I try to drink as much as possible water, which many times helps. And am missing much Scottish and Irish accents to hear ... Many getting well wishes.
ReplyDeleteOh! How you must miss a wonderful Dad like that ... They are irreplaceable . Hope your migraine diminishes soon Grace..... Take care.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon !
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you aren't well. I wish you, dear Grace, to be better as soon as possible.I like very much colors of the first shot.

Don't worry. This blog-thing will suck you back.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, Grace.
ReplyDeleteLove this post. :)
ReplyDeleteMarvellous, moody shots of the Swan River, Gracie. Was going to ring to say 'Hello' but won't now - get well soon... xx SueC
ReplyDeleteGood choices in difficult circumstances. Perth looks beautiful but ominous. I had migraines in my teens and twenties. Then, miraculously, they went away. Others are not so fortunate. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThat water looks a little choppy. We were supposed to get rain today but it just passed us by.
ReplyDeletethe weather here is beautiful, spring has exploded with its scents and colors!
ReplyDeleteThose lovely photographs all in shades of blue and green and gray should be soothing to the eyes. Wring out a washcloth in cold water and mold it over your forehead and eyes and another around the back of your neck, then lean back, breath deeply and try to relax and empty your mind of all thought. Maybe listen to Erik Satie played very softly. Breathe in, breathe out, there, thats it.
ReplyDeleteGet better soon Grace. Have you checked for food allergies? They can sometimes be the cause of migraines or even back problems...
ReplyDeleteHorrid things migraines. Hope yours clears up quickly.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are adorable postcards!
ReplyDeleteAnd please take good care of you, I hope you are feeling better today.I'm sending good energies.

Good to see the rain here today. Hope that you recover soon Grace.
ReplyDeleteHope you get to feeling better. I have migraines every once in awhile and they are painful. Love the dramatic skies!
ReplyDeleteOh poor Grace, I know how awful those can be .. ask your doctor for Caffregot (sp?) or when you feel the headache approaching (do you get those flashy lights in the corner of your eyes?) drink a big cup of black coffee, the caffeine helps expand the blood vessels and can ease the pain/ache .. but only if you do it as soon as you see those lights .. its saved me several times ..
ReplyDeleteTake care of that brain and those eyes! Glad you have some rain in your area!
ReplyDeleteblogger breaks are good for you. My father suffered from a form of headache called cluster headaches but he wasn't scottish (although thats where my partners father was born
ReplyDeleteHope you've hit the headache on the head by now!
ReplyDeletehttp://ann-mythoughtsandphotos.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/abc-wednesday-n-for-nits-or-lice.html go to this post, you will see an egg whisk like massager for the head. It is said to be good for migraines. I use it for my head when I don't feel too good.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Grace.
ReplyDeleteOh, how terrible for you! Get better soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the blues in the first shot.
