...it could have been worse!

It all started on Tuesday when I tried to access my facebook page only to find I was locked out, the question posed 'had I tried to access my facebook from another device', AS IF!!  I know phones are used these days for so much more than just making and receiving calls and texts, but not by moi..When I'm out and about I'm not interested in checking facebook or anything else so my phone isn't even connected to the net. It seems that someone in Broome 2,200kms north of Perth had tried to access my facebook, goodness knows why!! Then a few other odd things occurred, I think I might have opened a 'dodgy' site, anyway to cut a long story short my computer was out of action yesterday while it was defragged and security checked.  Hopefully all 'A' ok now, not so lucky the driver of the car above, the parking inspectors do a pretty thorough job in Northbridge, many a time I've arrived back at my car just before their pen has hit paper (once they start writing there's no turning back) and managed to talk my way out of a ticket, I would have liked to stay a little longer to snap the 'grrrrrrrr' face of the recipient, but I had to hotfoot it down to my car before he slapped one of those little suckers on my windscreen haha! Hope your week has been going well, catch up today.....

  1. Grace, that is scary, with all these stories about identity theft, etc. It's probably nothing, you're right, either that or you have a double in Broome posing as... Grace :-) Great shot of the dutiful parking inspector bearing down on his next "victim." Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

  4. Nice catch on the ticket writer - and I see he's plugged in too!

  5. Glad everything is back to "normal"???? whatever that is these days! I don't deal with Facebook, Twitter or any others anymore, more problems than fun. And at times like these, I'm just as glad that I sold my car!! Life is so simple these days and for an old broad like me, that can be a blessing!!

  6. I wondered why you went MIA! That is scary isn't it? It's probably my worst e-age fear, to be locked out of my accounts...

Ha... So you sweet talk to traffic wardens? :-)

  7. Had to smile in sympathy - I've been having technology problems too. It is both a boon and a bane!

  9. I only have a Google Account and its not linked to my mobile phone neither is my E-Mail address because i reckon the more accounts you have on-line the more problems you encounter :-).

  11. I am glad there was no apparent damage to your computer...identity theft is a serious matter - I have been a victim once...but it wasn't stolen from the net, but from a piece of paper on an application! Anyway, apparently, the FB hacking is not abnormal...I have had it attempted several times. I just have to go in and set up a new password and start again. Sometimes I am not sure it is worth it!

  12. It certainly doesn't look like a place where you should leave your car. Seems to me that the red paint job is more likely to get the attention of the authorities.

  15. We are so trusting in this computer age. Still don't know what's wrong with my Dell. And I won't drive in or around Perth anymore!

  16. Some fraught experiemnces there Grace. I like your "everyday" photo which is made into a work of art with those contrasting three walls behind- very clever.

Hope your Facebook etc. are all ok now as well. I too do not have an internet mobile- I am online enough when at ny office and have access at home when I need it- would rather save the hefty annual contract money and put it to a holiday payment ;-)

  17. I think we should all be pleased with ourselves that we can understand Facebook, blogspot and windows. Wouldn't it be serendipity if the person receiving the ticket was the same person that tried to access your Facebook account.

  18. Sometimes we have days like that where nothing seems to go right. Glad you didn't get the ticket at least! They are VERY strict with parking here in Toronto. We had several parking tickets when we first moved here, now we're vigilent to buy more time than we actually need. :)
