It hardly seems possible that a year has passed since Aimee first participated in the Keep the Flame Alive flash dance. I almost missed this joyful event to raise funds for the Children's Leukemia & Cancer Research Foundation.. at the top end of St. George's Terrace glancing at my watch I realized I had exactly three minutes to get down and over to Forrest Place before it started.. I ran, hair flying all the way, thank goodness I was wearing sneakers :) I chose the shot above because it shows the General Post Office c1923 and the Commonwealth Bank building c1933 both by John Smith Murdoch in the Beaux-Arts style both très impressive n'est-ce pas! Hope that your week has started well, take care... p.s. did you spot the redhead.. bit harder in the top shot :) p.p.s. isn't it fabulous to see so many jubilant young people.

Ah, there she is! For a moment I was thinking it was like Where's Waldo.
ReplyDeleteTerrific shots, and quite a setting.
I find it odd that there are girls in the pic wearing dresses that don't look casual for the purpose!
Indeed I can!! Hooray! Wonderful cause and super shots :).
ReplyDeleteFound her!!! Looks like a fun event!!!
ReplyDeleteYep, I found her, too!! A terrific event indeed and how wonderful to have so many young people participating!! Great shots as always, Grace!! Hope your week is off to a great start!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun gathering for a good cause!

how fun and i found her!
ReplyDeleteA couple of those red hats fooled me but I found her too! What a fun time that must have been.
ReplyDeleteJubilation!
ReplyDeleteAloha, Dear
What great fun! I say some "redheads" in the top photo but she's right there in the 2nd one!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! So good to see her. Glad you were able to make it. Would love to see what Gaia does in Perth.
ReplyDeleteSpotted her in the first pic, am very proud of myself! :-) That's such a bright and sunny way to fundraise! The buildings look stern somehow, probably because it's so joyful!
ReplyDeleteOh to be young and energetic. I'm only the latter. Bravo for the redhead !
ReplyDeleteAt least you made it - why didn't you join in?
ReplyDeleteAimee was easily spotted. There must be something distinctive about her. I guess the performance will be found on You Tube.
ReplyDeleteI see her! You are right though, I couldn't find her in the top shot. It must be fun to take part in something like this.
ReplyDeleteSadly my view was blocked by the lassies in white.....
ReplyDeleteBrave souls I would never have the nerve.
ReplyDeleteYou are making me think of both the children's book, Where' Waldo and the Monty Python sketch Spot The Looney.
ReplyDeleteWell done to both of you! I've yet to catch a 'flash mob'.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun shots!
ReplyDeleteLooks very nice happening.
ReplyDeleteSnap Grace. There are some similarities between your GPO and ours.
ReplyDeleteI think she is in the second photo on the right in the back?
ReplyDeleteWell I found her ! And then realized it was much easier in the second photo!.
ReplyDeleteGood for them.....I keep waiting on baby news?
It's wonderful to see so many people united for a positive cause!
ReplyDeleteYep, I found her, too :-) Yay for sneakers, Grace, non? A good event that is!
ReplyDeleteI had to use a zoom, but yes, there she is!
ReplyDeleteLovely event. I spotted her!
ReplyDeleteI can always spot a redhead.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a bit to find her. I found waldo right away though....
