Fifty steps of white.....!

Firstly I'd like to say that it's not often you put a request out there and it gets answered so promptly, whoever it was that forwarded the rain, a huge thank you! Seriously it's been raining on and off since I took these shots on Tuesday evening, every drop much appreciated! The lighthouse at the marina is a wonderful spot to watch the boats coming and going out to sea, the rocks along the groyne are popular with fishermen casting out their lines in anticipation of catching a snapper or herring, hopefully not a greedy blowfish very bizarre creatures indeed! Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.....p.s. I can't be certain there are fifty steps to the top, but who's going to call me on it haha!

  2. Bonjour Grace. Your splendid shots caught my eye. Hard to believe here in Seattle, but sometimes, I guess even rain is good news... Bonne journée. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

  7. Those are two very nice photographs! I counted the steps. There are 51. Shades. Of White. I'm not going to ask about the book with a similar title. I hear it's very good though, and has saved a number of marriages. :-)

  9. Lol, I wish I could count the steps, what a beautiful sky and yes, indeed, a very strange fish. It looks like a sea-hedgehog with oversized eyes!

  10. I wouldn't go all those steps, to scary for me, I can see the sunset from the ground as well, don't I. That is a strange fish you showed us, do you realy have them on the shore?

  11. Nice scene. If Perth is like here at all, it is heartening to, at times, see a young person fishing. I haven't done it, yet, but at some point every blog writer must have a pun on Fifty Shades of......

  18. The top picture, in particular, is a beautiful composition. You raise an important photographic point. A camera can show - what is it? - 255 steps between pure white and black. However, in overall light intensity, a camera can distinguish about 8 stops and the human eye can manage 20. The technology hasn't caught up with biology.
