I would very much like to claim this picture as one of mine (and believe me I WAS tempted haha!), but this candid shot of an Emu with a very penetrating stare was taken a week ago at Caversham Wildlife Park in the Swan Valley by Bill from (
billsdiving) who I'm trying to convince to expand his blog to 'billsdivingandmore' as he takes brilliant photos of all sorts of things.. I'm having a little eye operation today, nothing serious, but I might be out of commission for a few days...so take care and hopefully 'SEE' you in a few days.....!!
superbe portrait, elle a un regard qui vous hypnotise
ReplyDeleteThis is a familiar sight. Susie spent a semester in Australia and afterward a print of an emu graced her room. Good luck with your eye operation. I will be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. Never seen an emu dive before, so I guess this is not one of his diving pics.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will be back, sight fully restored soon.
Thank IS a penetrating gaze... hope you're back on your feet and at your computer soon...
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Get well soon Grace. I will be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photograph, whoever the author. Steam coming out of its ears! So, cataract surgery? Must be common in sunny Australia. Easy as can be these days.
ReplyDeleteSending you positive thoughts on your operation. We'll be so happy when you return. Nice close up.

ReplyDeleteOmigod! I did a double-take when I saw this! It's almost a duplicate of a photo I took in south Florida 25 years ago. If you send me your email, I'll shoot you a copy of it.
ReplyDeleteRe your eye surgery: I don't know what you're having done, but I had cataract surgery with implants in both eyes last December. It worked out very well and I can see again with glasses - that hasn't been the case for 35 years!
Good luck today! Perfect shot for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteTolles Bild.Wünsche viel Glück.
