BBB's..Belated, birthday blooms.....!!
I think that everyone who knows me well, knows that a bunch of home grown roses is possibly the best pressy they could ever give me.. Roses grown in commercial conditions just don't cut it as far as perfume (there usually is non) and shape. So I was highly delighted when a friend called in yesterday with this gorgeous bunch hand picked from her own garden.. lucky, lucky moi !! I wanted to share them with you and only wish somehow you could smell the perfume....Hope you have a beautiful Sunday and btw did you notice my careful 'petal placement' in the top picture.....!! pps 35C in Perth today and we're still in Spring, not so thrilled.....!

I can never decide which colour of rose i like the best. Every one I see seems to be the most beautiful! Nice petal placement.
ReplyDeleteStunning - keep cool!!!

ReplyDeleteHave not seen so much color for awhile ! Thanks. Enjoy your weekend !
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous Grace!
ReplyDelete35! Won't the flowers all wilt and die? We are nicely in the teens to a maximum of about 21 these days, one of the nicest times of the year.
ReplyDeleteWhat beauties! I'll bet the perfume is intoxicating.

OMG...these are gorgeous blooms! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms. That certainly is rather warm already.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder. Julie returns in the afternoon from a little more than a week away in Nova Scotia. i think I should get some of the store-bought roses to put in a vase for her return.
ReplyDeleteRadiant, romantic roses! I agree about commercial variety! They just do not have that zing of fresh roses!
ReplyDeleteIl n'y a rien de plus beau qu'un tel bouquet cueilli dans son propre jardin! Je comprends ton bonheur, Gracie.
ReplyDeleteSo what's belated - the blooms, or the birthday??!!
ReplyDeleteColor effects or SOC ?
ReplyDeleteI would love all pictures to be SOC but to get the "old" feeling, some touch-up would be necessary using software.
Nice soft colors, so romantic!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! they're gorgeous! i'm waiting for the one who will invent the computer with perfume!
ReplyDeletePreciosas rosas y qué colores más preciosos.
ReplyDeleteMe gustan.
Saludos.
I can smell a whiff (lol, I've just lit a rose candle!) they are gorgeous (and bravo for the alliteration!)
ReplyDelete(Note: I supported Wales and Australia, look where that got them, lol!)
I am not an expert on roses but I am sure you are right...
ReplyDeleteIf we ever had a Spring day like that I would be...quite happy.
ReplyDeleteI think I can smell them! Yikes! Fantastic. And they are...what super colors! Roses are my favorite flower.
ReplyDeleteRe your comment on The Villages...most of the 80,000 residents have golf cars (they call them cars not carts!)...and there are paths throughout the community to ride them on. The one you see was, however, "street legal," which means it can be driven on public streets also.
Lois Anne and I have a little blue cart! We take it for a spin around Stone Creek just about every night and I use it for playing golf!
Hope you have a great week!
I like the smell of roses,on a sunday evening!!
ReplyDeleteGreat creative week,Willy
A joy for the senses of sight, smell and thought.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good new week.
Spectacular roses, Grace. I like a mixture of colors, like these.
ReplyDeleteThey are splendid blooms. With my imagination...I CAN imagine the fragrance.
ReplyDeleteThe natural blooms are just gorgeous! And the array of colors is lovely, too! Makes me want to stick my nose in the roses and take a deep breath ;D
