I know that there are many horticulturists working away in garden nursery's all over the world pollinating and cross pollinating plants of all different species to create the next flower with the 'WOW' factor.....!! I'm not sure what they've crossed with this gorgeous Pansy I bought recently to get the pale lavender frilly edge, but it certainly makes me happy when I step out in the morning.....!!
magnifique couleur, et cela fait du bien car pour l'instant ici c'est la pluie (bon aussi c'est la nuit ;o)) )
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourites - we see them just after all the snow has gone and they are always so cheerful - that is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteHaving internet problems. Let me try again. I said that these are pretty, but it seems odd seeing pansies at this time of year. Around here, pansies are March and April flowers.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the "faces" on these lovely little blooms. And the ruffled edges make them even more attractive.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing these happy-face flowers which we love in our spring... We often wind up feeding them to the yard rabbits who think of them as dessert!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
Who cares how they did it?! In fact, it's better not to know ... some things are better laced with a little mystery!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for pansies Grace. Something to do with them giving such a great show of colour when you need it the most. Yours with the purple ruffle is unusual and very lovely.
ReplyDeleteQuelle merveille, cette pensée! Elle étincelle. Elle doit illuminer le massif.
ReplyDeleteBravo, Gracie pour ton choix!
I like these. I hope I can find some here next spring.
ReplyDeleteWell, there may have been some human dabbling, I've never seen a pansy like this before! It's gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! I love the purple edges!
ReplyDeleteI bow before the beauty of this flower !!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIn french , they are called "pensées", which means "thoughts". When I was a kid, we often made them dry and offered them to a person we loved, to make him or her think of us..
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicate outline that pale purple makes.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love that purple frame. In portuguese we call these 'Amor Perfeito' (Perfect Love).
ReplyDeleteGreat colour shot.
ReplyDeleteThe purple looks painted on.
ReplyDeleteWow, I have never seen that before....so fine and beautiful.....
ReplyDeleteIt makes me happy, too.
ReplyDeleteYour pansies are definitely more colorful and frilly than the ones I'm used to seeing. They are gorgeous! I love bold colors. You must have a very fancy yard ;D
