Love the colours and reflections in the water created by the boats in Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, more about them later. Btw the cormorant above had just swallowed a fish almost as big as itself.. euch! It was so quick I missed the click. Meanwhile looking closer check out the thousands of tiny stingers in the water, looks like an invasion of tiny space aliens :)
No Swimming! No worries.. could be an electrifying experience 😱 I think the cormorant had just swallowed the huge fish here :) Happy first day of September, the first day of spring here in Austalia, have a fab weekend, take care and stay safe..
They do look quite alien, don't they?
ReplyDeleteThe colour of the water is fabulous. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteCormorants can certainly swallow some enormous meals. I don't like the look of those stingers!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would be jumping into that water, Grace!
ReplyDeleteHow cool, G! Living on my boat, I would sometimes hear things against the hull and wonder who it was...
ReplyDeleteMagnifico as cores e reflexos da água.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

You are so right about the colors in those reflections, wow, they are great. Interesting jellyfish in the water. No, I would not want to go anywhere near them. Cormorants are fascinating birds. They are used to fish with in China.
ReplyDelete...I'll watch from up above.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting but I don't think I would want to be in that water.
ReplyDeleteI certainly would not be swimming there!! It looks like the cormorant still has some fish left in its mouth. The reflections are beautiful. Have a fab weekend, Diane
ReplyDeleteLove those stingers...from a distance.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness they do, and yep count me out for swimming there, but oh la la the many shades of blue are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe stingers are just another reason to not visit Australia. Your first photo is pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteAmazing shot of all those little jellies (oh, and I would never let that stop me from visiting Australia, which I would very much like to visit!!) Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteAaargh ! Á French proverb says "the devil is in the details" a wonderful couple of pictures. Have a happy. Spring day
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could ever live far from the sea Grace but there is definitely no swimming at this spot with all those stingers around.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflections. They have also some impressionistic painting appearance and the bird is nice but not really necessary but must have been the reason to direct your camera.
ReplyDeleteIt is a paradise for the birds to catch fish!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteThey are almost aliens in the 2nd shot :) :) :)
wow amazing
ReplyDeleteI do hope no one dares to swim there, those stingers could be dangerous.
ReplyDeleteLOL, oh, Grace, you know I have/had an eating problem with gagging due to the meds... "euch"!
ReplyDelete....!! :-) "an electrifying experience" you make me laugh out loud here, thank you! :-)
September already!
Oh my, those do look very alien and the name "stingers" says it all. Stay away. Beautiful reflections.
ReplyDeleteDon't like the stingers!
ReplyDeleteLoved your reflections though …
All the best Jan
Eeek those stingers!
ReplyDeleteI see your blog daily, it is crispy to study.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the good information!

Really great shots!
ReplyDeletewhoa!
ReplyDeleteNice blog and great captures! I initially noticed your “cormorant vs fish” capture. It looks like a huge fish caught (do you know what type?) and staring down the captors throat here! Does the bird manage to gulp the fish all the way down okay? Does the fish put up a good fight and I wonder if it stands any slim chance of damaging the birds stomach or even escaping it if eaten in that condition?! Sorry for all the questions, but thanks for the feedback/information! 😉
