While in the Perth Cultural Centre last week I took a few shots to show the progress of the new WA Museum due to open in 2020. Both pics taken from the window of the State Library of WA. A traditionalist at heart even I have to concede that the new museum will look stunning, see third shot, although the last time we visited a few years back here, here and that marvelous original staircase here, it looked pretty much perfect to me then :) I'm happy to say the Old Perth Gaol and Hackett Hall will be incorporated into the new design. We will reserve judgment and wait and see :) Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..
That'll be quite something when they get it finished.
ReplyDelete...now that's one speculation building!
ReplyDeleteGood on WA!
ReplyDeleteHope it will look as good as the publicity print.
ReplyDeletenice work in progress, cool "industrial" pictures! ew :)
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a very impressive looking building.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing new museums being built. Means someone thinks it is important to preserve part of their culture.
ReplyDeleteThe building's going to be a beauty by the looks of the poster ad. The crane looks like a toy in your photo. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be a beauty. Amazing what workers can do with someone’s vision.
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be spectacular if it looks anything like the proposal, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what the style of that house would be - looks a bit like something from Amsterdam to me.
We can only hope it looks as splendid once finished as it does in the artist's impression.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great new header you have! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThe Centre looks like it will be stunning.
it's seems to be a wonderful project. i like so much museums...

ReplyDeleteWell, Grace, I think it will look great indeed (though it was great the way it was, sometimes I wonder why destroy something good instead of just starting anew?)...
ReplyDeleteVai ficar fabuloso vai ser uma referencia.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

An ambitious project!
ReplyDeleteI guess I am more of a traditionalist too Grace, but it does look like the new building will be amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe plan looks impressive, hopefully the old and new will merge seamlessly.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI too like the heritage feel but sometimes things have to give over to modern convenience. It looks like the result will be good.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will look amazing …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
