Even with all the new developments in Perth, Murray Street side of Forrest Place is still my favourite spot to people watch.. the Old Commonwealth Bank and Old Post Office buildings above may have something to do with it :) and even though Forrest Place is also changing dramatically these two old beauties are a constant. Below the mix of old and new along Wellington Street. Last shot Pica (Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts) in the Perth Cultural Centre. Not too bad a pick-n-mix oui. Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
Quite a variety in architecture. I'm still going to get drawn to the less modern designs.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fantastic mix Grace. Perth has some beautiful older buildings.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to see the older buildings being retained. I sometimes feel like history is being erased by new architecture.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a wonderful place to visit someday. I love the scenery of this city, very beautiful! Thanks for the share, have a fantastic rest of your day. Keep up the posts.

yes, these architectural mixes are quite fascinating. they are the testimony of a city that lives and develops.
ReplyDeleteThey are all just beautiful Grace. I can't decide which one I like the best!
ReplyDeleteGosh what a great town!
ReplyDelete...the corner buildings in the first and second photos win me over!
ReplyDeleteThe older buildings are looking grand. Plenty to see and like in Perth when it comes to buildings and architecture. Beautful images, Grace!
ReplyDeleteThe fourth building is unusual. I guess it is a well maintained original from the '30s?
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a great place to people watch. And the mix of old & new in the second photo is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThese photos make me want to stroll around the streets of Perth. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely mix of buildings here
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Amazing pics
ReplyDeleteI am usually drawn to the old but new buildings in sensitive juxtaposition are also good. I think Melbourne does that particularly well. I am not so familiar with Perth.
ReplyDeleteA good mix.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your city.

ReplyDeleteSo many different styles makes it all interesting. I have to say I hate the modern thown in with the old here, but then we are soooooo much older than you. Have a good weekend, Diane
