That's one way to get attention 😉 Check out the expression of the lady in the pretzel van behind, anyone got a caption for what she is thinking :) It was that kind of day yesterday, a holiday in WA for the Queen's birthday and also a perfect spring day. While the gorgeous young lady chose a rush of blood to the head, others chose a snooze overlooking the Swan River from Kings Park. So many years ago I might have chosen the former but these days without doubt it would be the latter :) Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. Does anyone else get confused about what day it is for the rest of the week when Monday has been a holiday :)
I am reminded of the pose of a busker at our buskerfest earlier this summer- upside down, and down went the skirt. She wasn't going commando, of course.
ReplyDeleteThe lady in the pretzel van is just jealous that she can't be outside enjoying the day. The lady doing the exuberant handstand is showing her love of spring, and a bit more. Spring is such a great time of year, enjoy it. We have many Monday holidays so it feels normal. Beside, I'm retired so every day is a holiday.
ReplyDeleteI used to be able to do that, but if I tried it now it would not be pretty and I'd probably break something! Your second photo would be more to my liking, but I would need help getting back up.
ReplyDeleteI Appreciate You
ReplyDeleteIt was a joyful day here yesterday but I kept both feet on the ground! I sometimes get the days confused even when there is no holiday! ;-))
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous Spring! Nice street shot, G
ReplyDeleteI do not need a holiday to get confused as to what day of the week it is..... sigh. Have a great week Diane
ReplyDeleteI think the lady in the pretzel booth doesn't know what to think about the positon the lady in green has taken. I'm totally with you on your choice of activity. A snooze in the green grass would be just right.
ReplyDelete...never live your life for others!
ReplyDeleteI use to be able to do that in my younger days, no chance now.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, Grace, you came along just in time. I love that pretzel lady looking and wondering. I think she should give a free pretzel to the woman for entertaining her. :)
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughters do hand stands now. They are 5 and 7. I don’t think I could ever do those.
ReplyDeleteThe look on the pretzel woman’s face is priceless! Great capture!
Oh to be so agile!!
ReplyDeleteShe can stand on her hands--I can't even stand on my feet!
ReplyDeleteI hear that the Queen favours the former celebration and would do it more often if her crown didn't keep falling off. I didn't realise that she had an official birthday in Aus as well as the two she has in the UK - no wonder she's so old!
ReplyDeleteI´d do the second, Grace - but my Brother was able to do the first (minus the skirt ;-)....).
ReplyDeleteYes, you mix up when Monday is a holiday, but isn´t that nice, too?
I've never been big on upside down. But I'll take a little day confusion for a Monday holiday.
ReplyDeleteLoved the post
ReplyDeleteAmazing you still celebrate the "Queen's" birthday, at least it gives you a long free weekend!
ReplyDeleteHa ha. Now I am retired I am confused at to what day it is just about every day. I never could do handstands though I would not have minded doing somersaults on that lawn.
ReplyDeleteI could never do handstands, so I would certainly choose the snooze.
ReplyDeleteLove the look on the face of the lady in the van.
I welcome that kind of day, anytime! Beautiful greenery.
ReplyDeleteI love to doing this . Handstand . Lovely shot .
ReplyDeleteI'd do the latter!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures :)
All the best Jan
