On the way to Northam the landscape was a patchwork of yellow canola and green wheat fields. Such a pretty time of the year for a country trip after the rains, everything is so lush.. new born lambs tottering around on their spindly legs while mum and dad are still in their winter clobber. It's just all so.. country! Did I mention the fresh air 😉 I didn't take any pics in Toodyay, you have seen it before but we did stop and have a hearty breakfast and more importantly.. coffee! It's all about the yellow, with flashes of red today :) Next stop Northam where I saw something that I've never seen before in WA, or anywhere else in Oz now that I think about it.. are you intrigued, show you tomorrow. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..
Hello to Aimee!
ReplyDeleteThings look quite fresh.
...quite the splash of red.
ReplyDeleteNice trip! The last photo is superb...Arianna
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a perfectly wonderful place to be driving and enjoying the scenery! I had a flashback of a trip I took many years ago to Canada where I saw canola fields for the first time. It was eye-popping.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! The canola bloom is one of the prettiest times of the year here, but we had it in July.
ReplyDeleteLooks like spring in France but not with Alice in Wonderland tripping through the grass 😃 Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteThe canola reminds me of my trip to Sweden when it seemed like the whole of southern Sweden was yellow! I don't get out in the country enough to see much of it here although it one of our major crops. Aimee adds a wonderful touch of color to these pics, Grace!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful landscapes during these last three days... I enjoy your publications
ReplyDeleteYou get an early spring Grace!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery, Grace. All that yellow with a nice burst of red. Aimee's hair is really incredible. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Grace, especially Aimee's hair and pretty dress. I like your header photo :-)
ReplyDeleteRoad trips are the best way to go from Point A to Point B. I think that you found the gold at the end of the rainbow. Your photos of the field of gold area so beautiful and make me believe in a higher power.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great and very helpful information and thanks for your lovely comments.
ReplyDeleteVery useful and interesting to visit.
