Not there the last time I walked through Wolf Lane I was delighted to come across another thought provoking, conversation inspiring work by JXD. You may remember the rifle toting Mary Poppins a little further down the lane.. here another poignant reminder of the 'peace versus war' times we live in today. Hope you had/are still having a fab weekend, happy Monday, take care and stay safe...
We will work it out and bring a better age!
ReplyDeleteA creative mind sees things the rest of us could never imagine. Love this work!
ReplyDeleteIt is thought provoking ...
ReplyDeleteWe are having a good three day bank holiday weekend so far ...
Take Care, and enjoy the coming new week
All the best Jan
Quite a contrast within the same work.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thought-provoking piece !
ReplyDeleteThat work makes a powerful statement.
ReplyDelete...yes!
ReplyDeleteI think so...Arianna
ReplyDeleteWell, as John Aravosis at Americablog put it: Donald Trump has achieved in four months what the Soviets and Russians couldn’t accomplish in 68 years: Destroying the American-European alliance. German Chancellor Angela Merkel today said that after spending the last few days with other world leaders at the G7 summit, it’s clear that Europe is now on its own.
ReplyDeleteOur orange-headed monster is raining down hell upon the world!
Wow! Powerful statement in a creative art piece. Well seen, Grace.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteNice art work. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeletea powerful message...Coffee is on
ReplyDeleteThat is a thought provoking piece of art!
ReplyDeleteNice work. Thanks Grace.
ReplyDeleteA bit in the style of Banksy. Nice find.
ReplyDeleteYou have some nice finds there, I can see you walking like a detective through the streets :)
ReplyDeleteDone in the middle of the night under cover of darkness probably.
ReplyDeleteQuite provoking for sure, Grace.
ReplyDeleteStill I do hope things work out somehow. How can one idiot have so much power?!
A hard images but appropriate to the times. I notice the flower is a poppy. That's what's worn in the US on our Veteran's Day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poppy, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI do remember the Mary Poppins. This one seems poignant with the red poppy turning into an instrument of destruction. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteI really admire some of the graffiti work in the city to be honest. I see quite a lot of the street art on the way to my portable storage business in the morning. It's quite poignant when you take the time to slow down and think about what each of these pieces mean in its own right. Some of the work is priceless when you think of the emotions they invoke.
