How is it possible that I've lived in Perth for over thirty years and not entered into this gem of a building that I've passed so many times unaware of the fabulousness within! I'm not going to tell you about this blissful discovery today as I haven't had time to edit the shots but will tease you with a doorknob or ten :) The building is named after the mythological strong man depicted and no it's not the Hulk :) any guesses? Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
That's Atlas! Good details in these, Grace.

ReplyDeleteHe used to be a 97 lb weakling as I recall...Mr. Atlas, that is.
ReplyDeleteRe your comment on the reflection: I used a Photoshop "action." It was created by Mr. Panos. If you use Photoshop, I can point you in the right direction. Perhaps it would be best if you sent me an email - yanson2@aol.com.

ReplyDeleteSome others beat me to it, but as soon as I saw that doorknob I thought of Atlas! What a great find Grace.
ReplyDeleteThose are great door knobs. I have always liked Art Deco design, and this one is terrific. Of course the character is obvious holding the world on his shoulders.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to discover a new place, even if it has been waiting for your visit for a long time. You have a great group of clever blogger whom you cannot fool. I'm assume that Atlas is the answer.
ReplyDeleteYour second photo suggests that the answer is Atlas, although I thought of Hercules at first. Places like this give us some connection to where we came from.
ReplyDeleteAtlas? That is one gorgeous door knob!
ReplyDeleteUma bela colecção de puxadores.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.
