Of the
Blue Mountains that is :) What a breathtaking sight it is! The story of how the formation of the
Three Sisters rocks above and below came about is claimed to be an Indigenous Australian
Dreamtime legend..
The view from
Pulpit Rock Lookout was spectacular, don't let the blue skies trick you, the weather was freeeezing, literally! I think it was either -1C or 0C, exhilarating to the max but just a wee bit too chilly for my three year old grandson below..
When winter weather can often look more like this below, taken two days ago in Perth, that kind of cold can take your breath away :)
There are three lookout levels, waaaay down below, you may have to embiggen the shot to see them, David and Aimee looking out over
Grose Valley from the third level..
We stayed in a super gorgeous house in
Little Hartly about twenty minutes from
Katoomba. It was our first experience in an airbnb accommodation and it was wonderful to spend quality time altogether in such a beautiful spot. Below our outlook early in the morning and next shot looking up towards the house later in the afternoon..
Making memories with our Sydney famille and our gorgeous grandchildren, below toasting marshmallows, last shot back in Sydney where the temps were warmer, is the best 💕 I overcame many a height phobia at
Scenic World taking all the rides, including the glass-bottomed
Scenic SkyWay, can't be a cowardy-custard in front of two excited youngsters can you :) Oh btw the flight to Sydney from Perth was fine, I slept all the way, coming back was a different story, our flight was delayed by five hours and we had to get home via Canberra.. but we got to spend that extra time with the family, there's always a positive right! Looking forward to catching up and seeing what you have been up to while I've been away, happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
P.s. Many thanks to Aimee for letting me use some of her shots..
